It's clear how Scott doesn't appear at this ceremony looking as happy, relaxed and fun as we're used to seeing him. Scott himself confesses that he is nervous. It gives the idea that, given all the affection that Scott showed for Tessa, that Scott must have really liked Tessa, and probably had to endure, and resolve, the frustration of Tessa not having probably decided to marry him. Scott seems to be a little hurt, and probably betrayed too , by the reality he had probably to face due to the new realignment he had to define for his relationship with Tessa. And, it seems that Scott is solving this issue very well by admitting how wonderful it was to have his partnership with Tessa, as he says, and I quote "We felt a fire inside us when we skated, that, guys, no one can take that away from us ". This sentence is wonderful and very adult, showing that Scott does not deny the reality that his good partnership with Tessa was, how happy he was with her, and that this relationship experience with Tessa will never leave his life. Here, Scott shows that he has personality and that he will not allow himself to be manipulated by someone. It’s a case to say, Wonderful and Adult decision by Scott . Scott seems to be an excellent person and deserves to be very happy in his family and emotional life. My best wishes are that Scott can achieve these goals in his private life.

They are champions at more than skating. We now live in what is publicly an unpleasant world. This pair of skaters reminds us what public life SHOULD be. Caring and manners ARE important. Bravo to you both and to your high standards!

Тесса стала еще более сдержанно солидной почти чопорной и нет уже блеска в глазах и искренней теплой веселой улыбки когда Скотт ее всегда смешил а Скотт немного поплотнел но все такой же чувственный эмоциональный и юморист. Они для нас как луч солнца золотой. Мы их очень любим и благодаря многочисленным видео смотрим каждый день и с надеждой ждём опять на льду в каком нибудь грандиозном национальном шоу. Aww when scott said that tessa taught him how to act around his wife and daughter i cried he put all the time and things taught over the years to how to treat and be with his wife and how to be with a daughter aww it makes me cry its like she prepared him for it
Genuine speech😀... They didn't change at all... Scott is still the same cool and unpretentious person he's always been😁 and Tessa is so prim and proper and calming😃... I guess that's why they became successful in this sports...They really bring the best in each other👍... They are the perfect example of yin and yang😀👏👏👏
Thank you for posting this so their fans in the US can also see it. They are so loved everywhere. Their speech was wonderful and heartfelt. True to them, they thanked everyone all the way back to the beginning. And expressed their admiration and love for each other. I’m glad Scott talked about how Tessa helped shaped his life and in turn his relationship with his two ladies. I believe that they were and will be the biggest influences in each other’s lives. Not that they have nearly as much direct contact anymore but the opportunities that their partnership and success together gave them, the relationship skills that they learned together and the many lessons that come from sport and being a part of a team will be a part of who they are and a part of their identity forever. Tessa has point blank said that Scott was the most influential person in her life and I think Scott alludes to it here. They are wonderful people and amazing skaters. They, along with the coaches really helped shape what modern skating is now. There are many ice dancers from past and present that I love and admire and who truly are amazing in their own right, but Tessa and Scott - they just had a special “magic”. They could really make me feel something when they skated. Sometimes it was joy or wonderment or passion or jealousy or love or tenderness or fierceness or frivolity. They had the ability to be in their own world and to bring you on their journey at the same time when they skated. They made it look so easy - i think that is part of why both judges and the audience loved them. The judges knew how hard it was to make it look that “easy” and the audience could relate and simply were able to enjoy the program.
Sometimes, the judges got it. Other times, they were blinded by the razzle dazzle of quick feet not doing much. They are my favourite ice dancers in many years in Canada. These moments helped when you experience the big changes in the last 5 years.
Sorry to say , but Tessa also looks very different, she has a less spontaneous smile, and she also seems to be a little fatter. Neither of them are looking as happy as we are used to seeing them, probably because they will both be adapting to a new and different type of Life. Is life ...
I listened to EVERY word they said. Fantastic speech! VERY real and VERY heartfelt! The whole world is so lucky to have witnessed the magic they created on ice. I MISS THEM.

I can barely watch this. I'm crying and crying. So Proud of them. Being a retired Figure Skater myself, I know the work and all the emotions that you go through.
