It needs government intervention to research this properly and bring these people to heel. They are obviously. Taking completed advantage of these elderly people it's disgraceful.

Misleading and FALSE advertising… no schools, no convenience store, no public transport, small coffee shop which has been open only for a short time and doesnt operate frequently enough. Parks are poor, walking tracks - you have to be kidding me… access in and out of the estate is a nightmare… stockland arent listening to the residents… made a promise to over 100 residents during a resident’s event that a monthly newsletter update was going to be provided - still waiting and its been close to 6 months now. Poor Poor customer service. Land is sold as PREMIUM AND COSTS AN ARM AND A LEG… No sign of westfield being constructed anytime within 5 years… Mt Atkinson Hotel ✖️ Local sporting fields ✖️ train station ✖️ People are moving out of the estate NOT into !!!!
An established bustling suburb with schools and shopping? Did you really visit Mt Atkinson or just reading off a script? Really sports facilities? Where is that 50 hectare reserve? Not sure if its supposed to be a parody video for @Stockland or an insult to current residents. We do not have access to any of those things that has been mentioned. DO BETTER!
Established bus link suburb?? Not sure what planet r u or Stockland living in mate . Claim things when they are done. There is no bus link available. All of us are using our cars. Not sure what train station u r showing in the video, very misleading, there is no train station at Mt Atkinson. Sports facility? Name one! Because I live in here and can’t find any. Not even a single school YET. Everything is planned but delayed with excuses so unless Stockland delivers things then show it and then claim it.
No access to public transportation! No mention of Westfield shopping center!! Which was why we bought house inthis area .. very slow development… why misleading new buyers on the facilities that are not yet available.. it’s not near established yet .. it will be if stocklands n council hurry things up at least for access to public transport!!
Self contained town = Isolated estate !! Great schools and Childcare = Nearest school is 6 KMs and Childcare is 5 KMs & Cafe which is closed on Sunday & Monday. Like who keeps a cafe closed on the day when you need coffee most (Monday)
Retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My wife and I both spent same number of years in the civil service, she invested through a wealth manager and myself through the 401k. We both still earning after our retirement.
Problem with retirement villages that dont have exit fees or capital gain fees is that the house is a leasehold. You dont own the property. If the management sell the village, and the new management decided to redevelop the place, you will be kickout.
Incorrect, in a lifestyle community the house is not leasehold but the land is. When you buy the house, you own it. There are no entry or exit fees and you don't pay stamp duty. When you sell the house, you retain the capital gain on your house. They also can't sell the land from under you. That is the big difference between this and a retirement village.
This aura to bells creek Bruce highway link was being touted as opening in mid 2023, when will it actually open? Also are there any plans to link Pelican Waters or are Stocklands and Henzells sworn enemies 😬
