Riding since the 1960s, my last bike was a Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 and recently got an 07 1300R VTX Honda. I really like my Honda, the power is comperable. I'm 72.
Nice... I've been checking out these bikes thinking of making this my first one, it just appeals to me plus i know alot of riders so they've been on me lol so i guess it's time😎
I have a 2004 vtx 1300 and I love it. one model you didn't mention was the "S". I think mine is a custom cuz it has stock Honda saddlebags, big boards and pegs, crash bar, windshield etc. However, it has spoked wheels, so some ppl have said mines the "S" I was talking about. Help? Mine is by far closer to the "T" you mentioned, but again, spoke wheels.
No countersteering on a bicycle. No way. “Bicycle steering” does not work. It does not exist. Look ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9cNmUNHSBac.html
To control a two wheeled vehicle you are constantly countersteering or you may call it push steering. There is no “bicycle steering”, “handlebar steering” or “direct steering”. There is no difference in steering a tiny toddlers first bike and a Gold Wing, they both are controlled by countersteering at any speed from 1 mph up to 200+ mph. To get into a lean, you turn away from the lean. Being in a lean and wanting the bike to stand up and go straight, you turn harder into the lean and the bike reacts by raising. Being in a turn and you want to turn sharper, turn away from the turn, the lean increases and you can turn sharper. For those who says that a “bicycle steer” exist. Try to ride in a straight line at 2-3 mph. Then you want to turn sharply to the left. What do you do? Do you know exactly what you are doing? “Making a “bicycle turn” to the left? Now tie the handlebar with a string from the saddle to the left handlebar in such a way that you can freely turn left, the way you want to go, but not a single radian (or degree if you like) to the right. Are you able to make that left turn on the bicycle? Indeed let us know if you succeed.
Bicycles require counter steering though. There is a video of this there they locked the steering on a bicycle from turning left and they could not get the bicycle to turn right.
The name of the manoeuvre is called bicycle steering. Yes a bicycle can be counter steered. I guess for training they want to compare it to how a bicycle manoeuvres at slower speeds. Most people are familiar with a bicycle riding. We did not name the manoeuvre, it’s the official and accepted term in the ministry training program.
@@NorthernRoadKings Call it whatever. Refer to whatever “term”. A light tiny bicycle is controlled at even 2 mph by counter steering not by “bicycle steering”. Take a little toddler. She rides perfectly on her little bicycle WITH SUPPORT WHEELS. In fact she is not riding a bicycle, rather a little car. Steer right, you go right. Take off the training wheels and at from the same moment she falls over, unable to control the now bicycle on two wheels, no longer a car. She has to learn countersteering to get back in the saddle. For parents, never use training wheels, it is outdated. Use a two wheeled balancing bike with low seat and no pedals (take them off) The child will find the balance and the art of countersteering by themselves. My grandson made it at an age of 2 yrs and graduated to a pedal bike a few months later.
@@NorthernRoadKings Why call it bicycle steering? Bicycle steering does not exist, look ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9cNmUNHSBac.html
No. There may have been some there. There is one problem with electric bikes, no sound. Sound helps make a motorcycle visible. I do like the idea of saving money on gas though. Cheers.
Depends on whether or not it’s your first bike. If it is, shadow is a bit smaller and easier to manage. If it isn’t, VTX all the way. It has a bigger frame and more power to enjoy. Cheers.
