I was a teen when this came out. Her, Janice Ian, Bobby Gentry and Jackie DE Shannon ruled the airwaves back then. There'll never be talent like that again.
Loved that song when it first came out (I was the mom in the mini skirt 50+years ago, at PTA meetings, when this song came out ,lol😂), and I still love that song today! She is a beautiful lady with a lot of spunk😊 And I had a lot of spunk back then too and still do today !
Love your music. My husband and I saw you at Opryland all the time. We have you on old camcorder tapes. I'll have to transfer them onto video somehow if I can figure it out and upload it to here if that's ok.
Roger, such a talented singer/songwriter and producer. I thank him for spotting me at Caesar's Palace Luton in 1973, which is where I was singing and playing drums at that time. Roger's group "Blue Mink" appeared there for one week. He watched and listened to me throughout that week. On the final night, Roger asked me to call his office in London. I was teamed up with John Gaughan and made many records produced by his song writing partner Roger Greenaway. I also got to sing some backing vocals on some Drifters chart hits "There Goes My First Love" "Can I Take You Home Little Girl" etc.. in the mid 1970's. Thank You Roger!!
