Very exciting! I'm mostly into gliding with sailplanes, have you guys done any other podcast episode or video with or about sailplanes other than this one? Thanks in advance!
That's great man! I hope your channel will be a huge success! ✌🏻 I definitely will suggest to listen your podcast to my flying buddies here in the UK! 🪂
I really don't get how on earth this podcast has such a low views?! I just found your channel but I definitely will follow your work Gavin! Please keep up the great content coming! I wish you all the best man!!
It's just because it's new on RU-vid. Just recently put all the shows up here. We're well over 2 million downloads at last check:) Glad you're enjoying it!
Awesome - listening now. The only thing I wish .... is that t was a video. Mitch is an Aviation Legend ... everything he says should be documented. Bravo Mitch - youre an inspiration - Nikos
"And on this project we have two plane pilots, a helicopter pilot flying Cineflex, and then we have two paragliders, who also believe they are pilots" :D
Tell me more about weak links. You said 19:50 that it should break at 230 lb. How do I test that? Do you mean a SINGLE strand will break at 230 lb? However we normally use a LOOP of weak link, and then we FOLD OVER the loop. Therefore we actually have 4 strands of weak link between the Pilot and Winch. 4 x 230 = 920 lb. So you are saying that the weak link should break with 920 lb of force?
Gosh good questions. Pretty sure it's single strand. I'll have to ask the tow pros, but I was always told you should never loop your wink links as that removes why we use them. Ie you want them to break if there's a big surge.
This is the most insanely interesting sailplane adventures that I ever heard. These exceptionally wild feats of airmanship are told firsthand by FedEx captain Gordon Boettger. I can’t comprehend the mental and physical challenges required for these types of sailplane records. The risks and physiological pains must be immense.
How have I been shown a Chanel with less than 300 subs and a video with less than 300 views on a subject I've not really looked at. How is the production so good. I'm very confused how the algorithm worked here, but it's a beautiful video.
It has to be so surreal up there, Beautiful! +---------+---------+ 🌹“Pray the Rosary every day, in order to obtain Peace in the world..” ~Our Lady’s Words at Fatima May 13th, 1917🌹 -As always, Repent & believe in the Gospel! God Bless! +---------+---------+
Thanks Gavin for showing us the gritty side of the X-Alps. It gives me a new appreciation for how transcendently talented Chrigle must be to not only survive these treacherous situations, but to excel in them.
This is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing. It's hard to imagine the insanity of this race, but this gives us a glimpse.... I see you like horses about as much as I do!
