@@TOEKIEWORLDMarc Excuse me for butting in - It is obvious to me Siddhartha is eating carefully and lovingly And trustingly ... Bravo to Marc! Such a lovely friendship has flourished!
I have this one and the people I bought it from didn’t give me any real information other than “orchid mix and moss on top, it’s almost flowering size” and I was so worried I was going to kill this gorgeous little $80 orchid. Thank you so much for the video and information!!
Really lovely. But I don't understand why people don't read up about the " pet" before they buy. Not only birds but animals in general. When you buy an animal, you need to take good care of it. Its not a toy but a life. Only severe circumstances should make you find a new home for the pet. It will be exiting to see what you get 😊
I completely agree with you but I think we"re the last generation that can and will read up on things. Most younger people nowadays only seem to know how their phone works and how to push the buttons and show themselves and their new "squired items" off. If they get bored with it, whatever it is, they get rid of it.
Hello there Marc, Have been nursing my little Kingianum along this season - hoping to do a mount inspired by yours. Hmmm. It appears the plant needs a bit more time to develop. Well - eventually! I keep rewatching the video for more insights. Thanks !
HMM! The Hyacint, always loved that one but it needs a lot of space and needs to be bred in captivity and not be kept as a pet, due to its rareness. Next to being the largest parrot in de world it also is the most gentle one of the macaws.
.....this was a very special video........Bird people are a rare breed.......the devotion and commitment of time....most people cant fathom or imagine...
I kept and bred birds since I was a child. Over the years I had 3 first breeding records on my name; 2 African parrot species, 1 Toucan species. Unfortunately I had to give it up due to health problems. The only bird I still have is my pet macaw, he turned 19 last June and will be with me until my last breath. Whenever I will pass to another dimension, he will be adopted by my best friends who also have a good bond with him and adore him too. Thanks for watching.
.....as someone who loves Phals, there couldnt be a better one than Phal. Gigantea.......who wouldnt love those big thick leaves, and finger size roots......I really like how you added "imagination" into your orchid growing style......The addition of theTillandisa, was a wonderful idea....and then the icing on the cake....a Dendrobium!..your mount turned out great, look forward to an update down the road as it grows onto it.....
Thanks. More orchid videos like this and updates coming soon. I still have sooo much editing to do of footage I took over the last months. I'm completely healed and most of the heat is gone here now so I'll be cracking on over the following weeks, including my first little fish tank and more.
Hah look at our little guy😍 Having the time of his life so it seems. Little traitor devil ❤ Thank you again for taking such good care of our little silly chicken 🥰🐣
last week after band practice I saw a woman standing at the train station, she had a blue Ara with her which she tried to sell (for obvious reasons, she didn't look that well) I could take it home for 200 euros. She had it for ten years and the bird looked healthy enough. I called the police and asked if they could take it. They did, it lives with other parrots in a small zoo
I would have payed the € 200 as a companion for my macaw. He is very social with other parrots. Selling a macaw this way however should not be done as you never know where it would end up. My macaw just turned 19 last June. He's been with me since he was 3 months old and will stay here until my last breath. I already made arrangements for when I shall pass on and he will be happy in his new home.
2 very beautifull birds. I like birds alot. Many years ago i had a yellow budgie wich could talk. Now I/we have 4 cats. ( they can only live our garden by accident)
Covid is going around again here too, looks like we both like the same TV, I just watched something on Pompeii also. Otto is cute! I don't have as much time to spend online or watching RU-vid as much. I recently came out of retirement again and started working part-time at a newly opened butcher shop making all the sausage... We'll see where that goes! Maybe I'll do a video there on one of my days off.
Yep, Covid, a bug that keeps popping up here in Europe too, was very sick, although I had all my shots. Going back to work part-time, something I'm working on here too as I most likely am going back to my old job 1 or 2 days a week. Life here is getting more and more expensive. I must take into account my physical problems. I love documentaries and Pompei is only in the south of Europe, only 2 hours away by airplane.
WOW 🌱🌸 I am stunned !!!!!! it dawns on me that ORCHIDS is an endless treasure box experience - and here I am : a little beginnerin with a few orchids - hm ........🌱🌸 Thank you NinJa 💃
A beautiful tribute to Margaret, Marc! Thank you so much, I am sure it was difficult to do. So nice to see her happy and well at the end with a big box of orchids. I am sure she is feeling like this again now in another place. Take care Marc!! Condolences to you on the loss of your good friend.
......a very touching tribute for her, Im sure she is watching down over all of us....its not surprising how many people lives she was a part of.......well done Marc.
@@TOEKIEWORLDMarc no I know what you mean even in the UK it is too far for me to travel with my decrepit back. But you can remember her in your own way at the time of the ceremony. Take care xxx
Thanks, That's all I could do, couldn't speak at all. I'll be missing her a lot as we were in good contact, even outside the RU-vid community. She'll be missed by many orchid lovers.
