There are many ways to reach the goal....many ways is required in order to cater to people with different disposition and different attitudes. Ones you have mentioned are just the kindy level, pre primary level of one way....if that method is suited to you then it will take you to the next level and the next...ultimately gaining conviction of ultimate truth. Little knowledge is dangerous
The Dalaï lama said Buddha can't transform your mind with water or by hand. But Tantra is different. You transform your mind which has different level. Mantra also is very good to transform your mind and emotion. It is not water or hand. Keep on to practice and to study the dharma and the meaning of emptiness, ❤🙏
