Perfecting paint since 1990. For passionate enthusiasts like us, car care is fun. Weekends in the garage are something we look forward to. At Griot's, when we go all-out to develop the best products we do it for ourselves first. Have fun in your garage!
Do you have a successful recommendation for cleaning the pads after using this product? I have to throw them away when I’m done which gets a little spendy.
Sgt. Bob: I use a tall rolling staircase in my garage with 14 ft ceilings. Works well for cleaning the Class A Winnebago The Bug Barrier really helps with the big flat front on the coach.
Ok I have a question/issue. Have a g9 buffer that stalls alot. It seems like if not held in the perfect angle it stalls. Why can't some sort of bubble level or something be integrated on them so we know when we're level?
I have a separate canister filled with fresh water. Soon as finish foaming and rinsing, I immediately switch to the canister filled with water. That way I never forget to clean out the Boss Canon. Only takes 30 seconds to clean out the Boss Canon.
I got into car detailing during Covid. I’m wanting to get back into car detailing. I want to go cordless. I really don’t know much about it. What would you recommend?
Really liking the prices on these as a fixer upper, but sales taxes in my state are ridiculous. I’m just not sold on the design language of current sedans.
Griot: Say it with me: Fooks. It's not fyuke, it is fooks. Never say feeyuke. You don't even need a singular version. Just say fooks. I know it's confusing because it is spelled Fuchs. 😆 Great car. It was fun seeing it at WCR in Oregon years ago. Great people built it. When I say dog food, I only mean a nod to the business that afforded this beauty. I wish it was a treasure they wanted to keep forever. But amazing car in the hands of Canepa now, who are awesome caretakers of epic cars.
16 oz is absurd. Rags to riches ya use 1 oz for lightly soiled towels and 2 oz for heavy soiled towels!! At 16 oz a load of rags that makes absolutely no sense financially for anyone. Plus the cost of having to still use regular detergent for just one load of towels you’re basically using 3 cups of fluid. Hahahahahah Like I said when there are products out there that use 1-2 oz of product a load of towels and don’t need to be added to even more product. No offense griots but this product needs to go back in the lab and figure out a more diluted option. And I’m talking wayyyyy more diluted. lol like down to only needing an 0z or 2 at most without stilll needing to add it to laundry detergent…
I'm a little confused here. Can I wax me vehicle with Poly wax, wipe it off and then immediately follow with Best of Show wax? I'm new to all this, so be gentle on me.
Outstanding! I plan to purchase Active 2.0 pressure washer. Two well regarded websites, Pan and Obsessed Garage, tested that washer and highly recommended a 40 degree 5.0 nozzle as optimum for car washing providing 700 psi and 2.1 gpm, best balance. Can you offer that nozzle size with your magnificent cover?
What’s that handle you have? I had seen something like that announced a while back. I hope that is to replace the long lance that comes with the pressure washers.
I received a set of the 2.5 nozzles and they are awesome. The spray pattern is so much better and smoother than the nozzles that came with the AR Blue Electric Pressure Washer.
@GriotsGarage I don't understand why THE Griots channel and it's (paid?) influencers will NOT show how this stuff works on swirled b-pillars! YOU need to show your belief in the product on that specific part of a vehicle since YOU promote its use on that particular surface.
I'd been using another line of product for 20+ years & this stuff changed my world. Absolutely easy to put on, smells great, feels like substantial wax vs many SiO products. Lasts great, paint & other stuff looks show-worthy after you wipe it off. I'm a massive believer in this product.
I have to chuckle at the temperatures mentioned for dwell time for foam washes. It is almost way over 65-70 degrees F in the southwest (Phoenix). Does that mean that I have really no dwell time when it is 110F in the shade?
Love your products, and polishers! I’m doing a 1 step on Wednesday. I’m going with the BOSS finishing sealant. Question, if I do need a little more correcting, can I step the pad up to yellow from black, or step the up the compound to perfecting cream?
This is dangerous out of the box. The padded seat slips off and you are on the floor. I recommend buying Velcro to keep it together. If you don’t sit on it squarely, it may tip and you are on the floor. Really good on smooth surface. Moving over cracks or unpaved driveway or rough surface, you may end up on the floor.
We've made a recent improvement to better retain the detachable seat/mini-creeper. The spring lock clips can be installed on the prior models. Please contact our customer service (800-345-5789) and they'll arrange to ship out the clips and instructions to you at no-charge.
@@GriotsGarage - Mine came with the spring lock clips. That isn’t the problem. The cushion slides off the plastic seat. The cushion is not secured to the creeper seat. I am going to the hardware store to get Velcro to secure the cushion to the seat.
My BOSS Foam cannon has been the best cannon I have ever owned (and I have owned quite a few). Nothing comes close to the BOSS Foam cannon with those metering tips. Very versatile foam cannon if you can believe that. The ability to hook up many of the products directly to the cannon head and then use the metering tips saves you a bunch of product from wasteful use and leftovers in the cannon jar after making up some type of solution. That stubby gun for the pressure washers looks pretty stout. Everything Griot's releases is TOP NOTCH!
