Well, I didin't se teh hole like I aw on the very very first video I saw of climbing this mountain a few days after I first time I ever heard of this mountain.
Do they let you drink things like Jenjerail whihc is like a soft drink or 7up whihc is a soft drink or maybe Sprite which is also a soft drink? Those are the kinds of soft drinks I like to drink when I feel like I'm going to puke. i especially like jergerale or 7up. They seem to hep my stumach the most.
so boring tourists and the monkey episode is so stupid. The employee informing them that they shouldn't carry backpacks and they were both so happy to transgress... oh my god! So boring!
" . . . as wide as all the world, great, high, and unbelievably white in the sun, was the square top of Kilimanjaro." Ernest Hemingway, "The Snows of Kilimanjaro"
Congratulations! Happy for both of you. Practical question here! How often did you use the shower? Are you glad you had it as part of the climb? Will appreciate your thoughts and advice.
In are in our very early 70’s, we have lived this philosophy, notwithstanding a number chronic health issues that have tried to stop us. We have adapted. Have not made it off North America much, but spent months at a time over the past 40 years exploring in a variety of rv’s (campers) exploring parts of Mexico, every State in the USA & every province & territory in our Canada that we could drive to. IGNORE THE negative comments. Find a way through the challenges. LOVE your channel.
Brilliant video thank you. The wife & I are going to get a smallish camper and are very keen on an auto sleeper . Have you any thoughts or tips that you think may help ? . Thank you again & we’ll be watching your adventures. Take care & look after each other xx
We’ll admit that taking the plunge is easier said than done & it’s sad how it often takes a real wake up call to follow through, like an illness or losing someone close to you. 5 years ago, after Adam’s mum passed away from ovarian cancer, we quit our corporate & freelance jobs, sold most of our belongings and took off with our little rusty campervan with no plan, other than we wanted to see the world. And we wanted to capture it through film and photography. We earn less money but have more free time than if we had stayed in London. As hard and scary as it was to give us the safety and stability of our previous life, this is what has brought us fulfilment during this chapter of our lives. Here’s to you taking the plunge and following your joy 💛
Empty words. Living the life you want to live is fine - financing it on the other hand doesn't come without hard work and/or rich parents. Sorry to P!ss on your make-believe world. Reality is difficult to accept, but for 99% of us that's the life we live not the insta friendly clips of so-called nirvana we see on YT.
I agree with you - we have financed this life with our savings, after years of hard work, working long hours in corporate London and as freelancers. We also made a choice - we could either continue to work 14 hour days and make money, or earn much less but have more freedom. Travelling the way we do (living in a campervan for 4+ years, with all our belongings in a tiny space) actually costs far less than paying London rent & the rest of the city lifestyle costs that come with it. We appreciate that this is still very much a privilege to be able to do and we don’t take it for granted - we just hope it can inspire others to take the leap, if they so wish and if they are able to. Sorry that our message triggered you, not our intention at all. - Tania
@@JitsIntoTheSunsetAh Tania you really are so sweet 🙏🏼 it is harder for some people than others but nothing wrong with inspiring and show an alternative… I look up and get inspired so I’m grateful My life is complicated but I think we all have our own battles so the crap I’m dealing with is not anyone’s fault so I’m grateful despite your battles you are always cheering me up despite not knowing me! Some people see the glass half empty and others half full … I take any positive I can get. You are both very brave and I’m glad I’ve found you! I wished you could have taken these 3 puppies … I played the lottery if I’d win I would have paid for you to take them home or I’d adopt them … fingers crossed Lotto is tonight 😅 🍀 Anyway take care Thank you Sabrina
@@sabrinastraveladventures4263Aww Sabrina, what a kind and thoughtful thing to say- thank you so much!! 🥹 Really appreciate you caring for us and the puppies in this way. This is an example of the best of social media and why we will continue to share, even though we know our approach doesn’t resonate with everyone because for others it can. 💛 xx Tania
@@JitsIntoTheSunset this is it that’s why I intervene I just wanted to let you know I don’t work due to my ill health so money is tight but I appreciate what you have done even if I didn’t know your back story , I still dream and hope for better days and in the meantime being positive keeps my head above water with recently lost our beloved dog we had adopted from death raw in Spain in 2012 … My daughter and hubby want to adopt again so of course when I see what you did I know I would have done just the same but my heart needs to heal first. I always used to rescue cats as a child and dreamed of rescuing donkeys and goats. Just been last week to Mudchute to see the animals there … it was such a privilege to see these rare breeds of animals on a sunny London day in Canary Wharf… I think I will make a little vlog it was a nice thing to do for once. For sure internet allows certain people to thrive for the wrong reasons there will always Debbie downers … anyway all the best I think you are fab and thank you for all the inspirations 🙏🏼👌🏼
I can't express my feeling when you summitted mount Kili. I'M dreaming on this mountain so bad and at the same time I keep asking myself if I can really make it to the top? Thanks for this video.. And your right this mountain is no joke.
Back in 2011, my husband, as part of a group, climbed Kilimanjaro, my daughter and i flew out the morning he reached the top of the mountain, he was watching the sunrise, up to his knees in snow and we watched it out of the window of the plane. We joined him to do a mini safari, and on day 3 we were going to another part of a reserve we were on , suddenly this large female hippo charged out of the bush followed by her baby, if it had not been for our guide and driver Edgar's quick braking and swerving we would have been taken off the track. i have a photo of mumma and baby hippo bottoms diving into the bush. and bruising from being flung into the roof ledge as we had the roof up and i was standing up taking in the view. we promised we would be back and 2025, hubby and i are going to Kenya to safari and hopefully see some of the migration in Maisa Mara, and Amboseli. I still love hippos
What a superb doc! Congratulations on reaching the peak, Tania and also well done Adam on listening to your body and not giving into “summit fever” I’m going to Kilimanjaro in August this year on the same route so this has really helped me understand what to expect (and look forward to)… thank you!!
How do we contact your tour company? We are going in June 2025 and want to use them. I’m from the US. I looked at summits Africa. It looks like they rep many tour companies. Which specific one did you use?
I literally cried in the end watching this. Respect to everyone who helped you achieve this. Feel sad for Adam. One day I'll be there on the top hopefully, Kili ✨❤
Wow what a great video! I’m planning to do the same trek with the high altitude drop off. This video inspired me and has me pumped up for my expedition in August! The videos you captured are incredible, and not to mention on top of the hard work you were already doing to trek up! How were you able to record? Did you bring a lot of power banks? Also was just wondering, did either of you take Diamox to prevent the altitude sickness?
