Warning - Do Not Buy Any Telluride! We purchased a new Midnight Lake Blue 2023 Kia Telluride SX Prestige X-Line on May 6, 2023. This is our first Kia vehicle, chosen after test driving and comparing all similar make and model SUV’s. We have bought many new cars over our 52 years of marriage, raising our family and beyond, including RV’s. Not one has had a fatal flaw that put our lives in danger, until now. In a thunderstorm on Jul 21, 2024, towing our new trailer through Durango, CO eastbound on State Hwy 160, this Telluride completely shut off without warning, placing my wife, small dog and me in emergency danger, stranding us 360 miles away from our Williams, AZ home. It has been dead, undrivable and stuck in Durango since that day at the Kia Dealership, Durango Motor Company. All of our 2024 Summer travel trailer trips evaporated in that moment. Durango Motors informed me back in August that Kia’s “Advanced Tech/Engineering” had been engaged, but to date there is no solution, nor is there an estimated date for a solution. This is an unacceptable defect for any brand-new vehicle. It is an unsafe, unreliable vehicle, that even if eventually “fixed” should not be put back on the road by anyone. Its value will never be restored. We cannot ever trust this vehicle again. The right thing to do is for Kia to buy it back from us, find the root cause and engineer a permanent solution to prevent it from happening to any future Kia vehicles. I contacted Kia “Customer Care” for their help, but their response is disingenuous, deflective, dismissive and they have delayed any action. Under AZ law it is "lemon" after 30 days and we formally asked them on August 21st to buy it back and reimburse us for the expenses forced upon us by this fatally flawed vehicle. I also contacted the General Manager at Ken Garff Kia in Phoenix, AZ, from whom it was purchased. They have ignored me. So much for the Ken Garff motto “We Hear You.” We’ve been forced to engage legal counsel to pursue the buyback we requested. We are 70-year-old seniors on fixed and retirement income. We have been without our primary vehicle for over 65 days, racking up unnecessary costs every day. With no help from Kia and no resolution in sight, we’ve had to pay for a hotel stay, a rental car, towing charges, and storage charges. We had to pull out retirement savings just to buy a basic used transportation vehicle. We just want a full buy back and reimbursement for spending forced on us by their fatally flawed vehicle. We’ll never buy another Kia of any model. PW, Williams, AZ Note: I did file a safety complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). No response from them either to date.
I've had Sorentos 2005 for 7 years, then got a 2014 Sorento, then a 2016 sorento and now have a 2019 Sorento looking to change for a hybrid one. Thank you for your video.
I hopefully pick my new Kia Sportage up in October after ordering it in June. My dad used to complain if anyone touched his drivers seat as he had a history of back problems and was6ft2. He finally let us drive his car but we were only allowed to move the seat forward and not mess with the lumber or seat height position. He's no longer with us but would have loved the memory seats and everytime I see the memory seat buttons I think of him. Crazy I know. Am carless at the moment and the🚙cant arrive fast enough.
@@dantedoescars ok painted it went too install realized it's pretty fugly it won't be going on my car had it color matched still looks like shit.ugggg. haaa
Sorry, but Journey was awful. The sound was off and we were truly disappointed. Steve Miller and Def Leppard were spot on. Wish I could say the same for Journey. The sound mixing had everything up on louder than loud and covered the singer.. maybe it was better down front but at the Club level it sounded horrible….
@@jedwardchorse-nr6um tellurides are solid and remain solid! Personally I don’t fret recalls because that happens with all manufacturers… yes for different reasons but still! Shopping Kia is still a solid choice!

nice car, now ship it to AZ and maybe you have a sale :)
That trick to get the A/C belt back in saved my life, thank you! I was messing around with that thing for about an hour and a half lol. Time for the serpentine now…
Thanks ! I love this video and how it’s not long and drawn out ! Straight to the point ! Question: I got the same exact S model, same color lol. I love it and I Love the dubs on it 😂❤. Anyway is there any other way to open the trunk on the S model ? Thanks for your time
you didn't mention the price difference and the Telluride has 10 trim levels it gets confusing. For simplification they should have a base model and an AWD luxury model. and make everything an option and let your build your vehicle as you wish
I have the Forte Gt line and honestly my only major draw back is the radio be bugging from time to time. Other than that I could maybe complain that it’s not a fast car but I didn’t get a Kia forte for it to be fast 😂
I have a 22 GT-Line and I started having issues with the radio audio cutting in and out around 4 or 5k miles. Took Kia 6 tries to fix it but other than that, no issues lol. Apparently the amp was faulty
Toyota is definitely not what it used to be! The new tundra engines are blowing up! They can only run on their reliability history for so long. The new Toyotas have NOT been reliable. Time to get a modern Kia with the latest tech. Kias are just as reliable as Toyota nowadays. No need to buy an outdated and ugly Toyota.
Thank you for this! This method is how I was able to reset it on a 2023 Kia Soul. The other videos using the steering wheel menu button were incorrect.
