I've looked at so many boats , and I am always amazed at how pleasure confiurations do not equip boats for fishing -even the simplest amneties they won't instal on boats that cost multi -milions -Martimo hist the mark here -some days you want to cas,t others ,you want have family fun on the water . Excellent design and execution .
That's about the ugliest boat on the water. If someone gave one to me, I'd sell it and buy a nice used Viking, Bertram or Hatteras...maybe even a Cabo. But this boat is fugly!

I was an engineer for them up till 2013 but because of the GFC well you can guess what happened. All the teams were dedicated, And they still are fit out 1 Who took care of (Hull, Deck & Fly bridge joining they were good). Fit out 2 took care of (Internal fittings timber work, galley, cabins special order fittings, and they were good.) Plumbers, they were good when you think Plumber teams & electrical teams and engineers had to run all the hot /cold water. Black tanks drinking water tanks, running gear, fuel systems, Hydraulic systems entertainment systems, safety systems etc the list goes on. And not forget to mention parts staff, Office staff. Contractors , metalworkers (Dave the welder, amazing team and stainless steel polishers now there's a job I would think twice about, but they did it and did it well.so many to mention the race team (Rosco . Muddy. Tom).so many I can't remember all of them. But we all had just one focus, to build the boats as best we could. I was originally a Rolls-Royce and Bentley mechanic, before I started with Maritimo I never looked back. Bill Barry Cotter did what he planned to do, and I am thankful that I was part of it
@@StreakerMarine what do you mean they are no longer on it? Looks like the decks are a few feet longer and that’s it. Wonder if they’ll drop the m55 now. I can’t see there being a need for both.
@@darcychiropractic378 Correct, the outside areas are longer in length on the M60. The M55 is Maritimo's most prominent model sold which proves there is a huge demand for this size

I have a four stroke Mercury 90 on a 16 foot Legend fish and ski boat. I usually keep the revs between 4000 to 4500 and get about 43 kph on it with a smaller prop I installed to lower the trolling speed of the main motor (so sacrificed top end doing so). The one thing that is very noticeable is the superb mileage. I can drive all day long at this speed on a 30 litre tank of gas. Same principle as my 6 cylinder 1800 cc Honda motorcycle...large engines driven mildly give far better mileage than a highly stressed smaller engine. I love this superbly quiet, easy to maintain motor and get the same feeling it will last forever like my Gold Wing bike.
Such a amazing cruiser! I just bought one a couple of weeks ago, don’t get it for 12months is the only draw back unfortunately… massive wait time on the Twin 250 V8 Mercury’s… great review! Cheers
