I’m so thankful I got to see Jimi sing live with Survivor back in 1985. It was at the Omni in Atlanta and the bands were Bryan Adams and Survivor. Even though the details are fuzzy now due to time, I do remember that it was an amazing night of music for a 17 year old kid to see. 🙂 RIP Jimi.. we miss you
Mainly because he has the award winning Rockin Bama Band behind him during those days, till about 1993 the band members started to change as the energy level did as well! Thanks for your comment ! 👍😃
What a fantastic voice and no room full of voice changing equipment. He sings so passionately and hits every note. For me, the best ever singer. I can't wait to hear his new country-rock CD coming out in August 2024 (Iconoclassic label) under Jimmy Wayne Jamison, recorded 2008. Everything he sings in whatever genre is perfection.
Jimi like Steve Perry sounds the same live as the recorded release . I put him up with Steve on his live voice. Both are tops in my book. RIP Jimi, we miss you brother.
I remember going to several of Hanks concerts back then, they were awesome shows with great openers. Seen some of his newer concerts on RU-vid and they suck now. Hank has become an obnoxious jerk spitting on stage yelling incoherent nonsense at fans and seemingly wine drunk. Not that he wasn’t a little hammered back then but he still had great shows, wouldn’t pay to see anything he does now.
