Excellent point about the level steps vs offset at 14:05. It's an important factor for me after injuring my hip socket while setting a hang-on. The medical bills cost me a LOT more than investing in the right sticks from the start.
It's a great stand for my kids or wife idk y they made a weight rating of 350 I'd pay money to see a 300 lb man in there I'm 6 foot 4 an 240 an dude it's ridiculous it's kinda a mess bc it's to big an heavy for saddle hunters an to small for a hangon
People who have the money will enjoy him in a couple of years. It's kind of like owning a few hundred acres. Feeding them with feeders,(baiting) planted special food, etc. Real hunters hunt public land where anybody else can and still be successful. That's real hunters.
Deer farming should not be allowed. This is an example of poor sportsmanship when it comes to deer hunting. Shooting a deer inside is a fence is "NOT" hunting.......
Great video! You did a very good job of telling your story, and a good story it is. I agree that your grandfather was present on that hunt, and I also think you should stick with his recurve and stay away from the training wheels. I think your grandfather would like that and is telling you that with what happened on this hunt.
Learning to pick a spot is hard to do for beginner traditional archers. It wasn't until I started shooting 3D tournaments that I learned to pick a spot every time and got deadly. No sound was good, too many others make videos with all that "I smoked him baby" nonsense word stuff over and over with fist pumping and laughing like a hyena. Great video just like it was!
Those shots happens brother, even to those who've been using traditional archery for years. I'm glad you found more than your doe. Keep practicing and keep hunting.
You may be hooked now! Ditch the compound completely. Get in the timber to limit your range and hunt traditional. It’s such a rush and makes you appreciate every animal you take. Congratulations on a bonding moment with a loved one Don’t sweat the bad shot. Ditch the compound, shoot the trad bow regularly, limit shots to 15 and under, and you’ll be fine. It will become automatic
Congrats, man, way to stick it out and seal the deal. Please wear the appropriate amount of orange when your gun hunting a beanie is not enough needs to be a vest, jacket, overalls, or bibs in solid orange or orange camo by law on public or private. I know guys that think there getting away with something by not wearing it but the deer don't see it like we do iv had countless deer walk right up to me while in orange, especially orange camo patterns they can't pick you out.. I really liked your content. Just please do it legally. We see what's going on with the Alexander buck right now. All it takes is a 1 salty neighbor because you shot "his" target buck and has video proof of you not following state regs, and boom, next thing you know, ODNR is knocking at your door. All over a deer is just not worth the hassle. You showed yourself in this video hunting 2 different gun seasons with only a beanie on. I just wanna see you keep producing videos, but just don't put yourself in a bad spot.. Congrats on the buck he's a dandy.
I don’t usually gun hunt or go out during gun season. So I wasn’t aware there was a required amount of orange you had to wear. I appreciate the heads up and thanks you the support!
Awesome video! You are a very good story teller and the way you presented it was the best I've seen so far. Harry would be proud. It may seem like you lost out on the missing audio, but I honestly liked the format much better overall. Obviously having some audio in the key moments of the hunt is good, but I actually thought this video was extremely well edited and seemed to be more engaging. I hope you keep some of this type of format in the future. Well done.
The buttons are suction designed so if you squeeze them a bit it will release the vaccuum. The replacement suction buttons are all over ebay for around 12 bucks. Decent sticks for the price though.
ran these for 5 year, still a good budget stick. Upgraded to the Tether Ones and the weight difference is very noticeable. Still use my Hawks for a tree i leave in place for several weeks.
