I'm 100% Sicilian and this is pretty much how my mom and nonna made their lasagna. I spread the ricotta mixture on the noodles first, then lay them in the pan one at a time. Nice job!
Excellent sauce but you need to add cream of chicken soup 2 top of chicken soup base. I also melt butter in a pan then add my Ritz crackers or croutons
Looks good anytime you wrap in foil or parchment paper and not overcooked will turn out moist. Just don’t forget pooch after you wrap your family meal separation small tail end with no seasoning he will love it
I have a recipe very similar to this one, except you make it to with shortening in place of butter, and not as much shortening. It's a great recipe. I use it all the time when I make a Red Velvet cake! I got the recipe from an old book that was sold by the ladies group from my church, many years ago.
You definitely can do that! A marinara is a bit easier than a pizza sauce so you may want to try that. Our recipe for it takes about 4 to 6 hours. For a proper pizza sauce, it would require several days.
I don't see the difference between this one *II and the original chocolate cake? if there a reason this is called Chocolate Cake II? just wondering, amazing recipe regardless! thanks Rachel, hope you are well, God bless you and yours. new subscriber!
Where to begin? One, I found you a few days ago (maybe 4?) on your Stay At Home Chef channel and was gobsmacked sideways at your "black" chocolate cake, the most superb concoction of ingredients with simple instructions on how to come off like an expert in the kitchen - you come off so clear and are so easy to follow and I was immediately hooked. Now I look at other things you have on your website and on YT. Today, because I wanted to know more about you, I saw this video you made 7 years ago. OMG. No wonder you are so popular and such a worldwide sensation - without meaning to be. You are the face of so many who have struggled to find a way to shine by just "Being" themselves, to be able to, "BE" (and sometimes to even exist) with being Who They Are without doing back flips to please other people to gain their love and approval or to get their needs met. I, too, have had to spend my whole life working on getting back to "Being" - just being my authentic real Self, without criticizing or finding fault with Who I Am. To be able to love and accept my Self as I AM. I know this is probably far more information than anyone cares to read but God bless you Rachel (I happen to love your name too!), because you, without knowing it ahead of time - are doing the Lord's work, helping people to love and to know it is alright to be able to accept themselves, by letting them know, that "it's okay to be who you are" and to shine the Light that God gave us from within. God bless you, Rachel, I'm so happy for you, really.
My dough was too wet. I think I should reduce it from 2 cups of water. So I added more flour to get it to the non sticky dough texture. But next time I'm going to reduce the amount of water.
