Awesome video…some dude on Twitter recommended I watch your videos. Not doing well as a producer…but I’m just gonna keep grinding getting better I guess.
@@DillyDGIB so..I got a few placements w smaller unknown artist, but I want to get one with some decent artist! And my RU-vid gets no traction..my views are really low, and when people do comment they genuinely like my work..but it just seems like I don’t get the views I want. Also I am trying to improve daily! I’m seeing improvements but slowly. I’m also having the problem of over complicating my beats and not leaving enough breathing room for an artist. Thanks for your reply, appreciate you man 💯
I been producing for a while and a about month ago or so i decided to start posting on my channel, i have been enjoying it and uploading regularly and i hope one day it blows up 🙏
Are you still doing this Dilly? I want to apply. All my beats that are posted on big channel like Rujay generate a minimum of $200 in sale for each beat. But I’m still struggling to drive traffic to my channel and get direct sales. I do post everyday
Bro, I've been making music since I was 13 now I'm 30 and I still testing. It never ends... really good video. NOTE: I make all my money from making music and working in audio.
This is the motivational video I needed, I am really trying to make this work, and the mental blockade is a real struggle. This video really helps me look past the fear and anxiety of putting all my time into it. your doing gods work out here man.
Great video. Would’ve been nice to see a timeline of what his actual samples/ads/youtube preview stuff sounded like just to assess from my own perspective.
hey dilly!! i started taking my channel seriously like 2 months ago and ive already made 80$ from collabs and yesterday ive sold my first beat from my channel!! just wanted to ask you if you think, that theres money to be made in trapmetal or should i switch genres..
That’s awesome! I’m not super familiar with the genre but I’m sure there’s some money to be made. What would be some examples of the top artists in that genre?
@@DillyDGIB scarlxrd, freddie dredd, corpse, kill dyll, ghostmane. my friend makes hyperpop and hes a fulltime producer even tho hes genre is small, but im guessing that trapmetal is even more niche so idk.. glad you came back btw!
Been going 6 months and no sales from youtube. Getting views, getting, subs. I felt like it's not going anywhere so I stopped for 2 weeks. Glad I watched this to tell me to keep going
Keep going man 💯 I’ve noticed if people are getting views and subs, but no sales then the beats may be cool and interesting but isn’t “rap-able”. Not sure if that is your issue but might be worth looking into
@@vlads.1 coached him, he made the music but he would send me stuff daily and we would go over it and figure out what was working or wasn’t and why, what could be better etc. Strategy and marketing as well
Honestly nothing with my strategy changed during that time period. It was just the effects of my catalogue compounding over time as it grew from having 1 pack released to 3 and giving people time to find and purchase my samples. Basically, I stayed consistent.
@@CHR0NIAC Gotcha thanks man! I mean it’s one thing to create packs and simply make them available in a store… But what was the marketing strategy to drive traffic to that store?
@@JSSoundsmusicto add to what Chr0niac said I think it was two things. One, he started to build a bit of a catalog so he would drop 1 pack and that would bring attention to others. On a small scale they come for one pack and maybe buy a couple. Two, his stuff leveled up aka served the customer better. He simplified his stuff and wasn’t making as many left field choices and the market responded better to that combined with his growing catalog
@@DillyDGIB Thanks for taking the time to respond man! I’m still not hearing the marketing strategy though. You’re saying he “dropped packs”, but that’s very vague and unclear terminology. Anybody can create a pack and upload it to a store. If people don’t know about it, no one will buy. And people don’t just magically know about you, so… Are you guys able to articulate and say what the actual marketing strategy is?
Great video, I recently started my type beats channel after watching your interview on “Pay the creators Podcast” (& all your other video’s whilst taking notes) 🤓 it gave me the inspiration I needed and opened my awareness of the possibilities that can come from being a type beats/youtube producer. I am only a few weeks in but have been consistent in think I will defo be joining your program once I start to see some growth and get some momentum on my channel - Thanks again for adding so much value and helping me to start this journey!
Awesome man! A lot of potential in it. A few tips I wish I would have thought about more is think about the customers/consumers of your music and study the different genres/types of music and try to figure out what’s at the intersection of what’s working and what you like to do
@@DillyDGIB Thanks man, I appreciate that. I have a question... what kind of content should I be posting on Instagram & tiktok to help boost or drive traffic to my Type beats channel. I've been looking at some of the top type beat producers Instagram pages but they all seem to post different types of content and I can't seem to find a common pattern/formula?
@@giftedtbeats I actually don’t think IG is the go to platform to make sales, I think it’s pretty much RU-vid, Beatstars and email. However that doesn’t mean IG can’t drive sales. One way to think about it is try to have a direct line from your content to your product. So trying to answer the question what would be the direct line from your content to artist buying your beats? I would say videos that demonstrate your beat in a dope way, maybe a cook up video, maybe a split screen with the daw and a face cam. If people fw the beat they might leave IG right then and there and buy it, however I don’t think IG is the main place people shop for beats
@@DillyDGIB that makes sense, I appreciate your feedback. I'm uploading consistently on RU-vid and Beatstars just need to do some research on how to build an email list and then to turn that into Beat sales
@@giftedtbeats My approach to that is building an email list by selling beats. So instead of focusing on building and email list or growing a channel, focus on making beats that sell on package/present them well and everything you want will happen as a bi product
Dilly I just looked you up yesterday you came back very clutch!! How about that mixing video , you still should make , I definitely think you have the best mix’s on your beats
Welcome back Dilly, it's been a while and now we even got 1080 version 😂 . Really interesting vid, so inspiring to learn through someone's journey. You're definitely inspiring me through my own journey 🙏 Hope you're planning to drop more vids soon
Haha 4K coming next, I updated Premiere so maybe that’s why. I still need to learn a lot about the technical side of video. Love to hear that’s the goal, and for sure! Expect another one in a few weeks!
