Breakdancing has come along way since the 80's when I first got into it. And I've watched a lot of videos here on YT and seen the progression. But I've never seen anything like this ON BEAT 00:11:40. Hats of to the b-boy.
I😂 turn 50 tomorrow and I'm sorry to say that I'm had my doubts about you. But after that 😂 you have done growing up from the cuts . I appreciate it more than anything 🎉. Cause my big over the hill birthday is tomorrow and I have to work my just a bday shout-out would be the best gift ever 🎉😂
What made Jabbawockeez stand out was they weren't particularly "the best" they were good and floating above average during the show's run, but they were different. They kept the classic 90s BBoy style which is so iconic with Hip Hop but they twisted it to hit the beat more but they didn't go too "robotic" and stiff, they used fluid motion and isolations (not the best since other groups did iso's better), it was just the overall consistency which made them gel and loved by the fans. They were also very creative with their assignments which other groups were very boring with (100 back flips and spinning on your head for 20 mins which we've all seen in dance offs). Jabba were just...different and they were "journeymen" listening to feedback and constantly improving themselves, jumping through the hoops and assignments that were thrown at them each week. During the time they had a show in Vegas and other series of ABDC there have been far better technical dancers but they just miss that magic, the crowd engagement is missing. Sometimes it's more than just the dance, it's the whole package and being masked has helped their image a lot.
i don’t care how technical your dancing skills are, how good your timing is, how strong you are. if you can’t entertain, you can’t win. i remember people would complain that in terms of their technicality the jabbawockeez are ok. but i think we can objectively recognize how great they look performing
When i become a fan of someone or a group i literally watch everything i could find. I literally watched most of their videos as a group and individuals, that back then i could tell who was dancing with their mask on lol.
The best thing that mtv ever did was this amazing show , damn it sucks that we no longer have something like this for are kids to enjoy and watch, I’m thankful that I got to witness this amazing group show there creativity and love for dance , Jabbawockeez for life
This is and will forever be the best dance show. The individual uniqueness between the groups and their different dance moves were what made this show so captivating! Now everyone does the exact same dance moves just to different music. It's like I'm watching the same thing over and over again.
