On my homemade electric guitar that me and my grandpa built when I was 11 I'm turning 21 next month anyways I wanted the feel and look of a banjo cause I was born in Shelby North Carolina and Earl Scruggs is one of my favorite pickers and Luther Perkins is my number 1 favorite guitarist Anyways me and my grandpa cut the banjo tuners on there and they work well I use THOMASTIK FLATWOUND STRINGS 11 GUAGE and also Jimmie Rodgers acoustic has banjo tuners
i still have mines since 2005 and still look new still look knew but have to change my pick up too old , this guitar was made to last and play good and has one of the best neck of all my other guitars, if you see one grab it as quickly as you cant you want regret it will put a lot of guitar of the $500, area to shame
You don't seem to have any trouble with slides on the 4th string like I do. I've had one for many years (mine's brass) but I prefer to use spikes. Otherwise, it's a great idea.

Oh I get it, you pronounce it "cappo" because it's a pen cap, that's pretty funny. I may be wrong, english is not my first language but I've only heard it pronounced like "kay-po" before. This is a good idea, I'm gonna make one. Thanks

Hello, If you enjoy bringing life back to musical instruments then I suggest that you continue on this journey. A collection grows around you slowly but soon you realise that space is limited. To part with a favourite can be like loosing a good friend. However, to part with a project could be much easier. Knowing that they are going to a good home where they will be cherished, loved and cared for is a joy in itself. A suggestion could be to indeed, sell on a lesser favourite via an instrument sales site or via e-bay or similar and document the journey. From listing to interest to sold status, packing and dispatch ect. Throw in some "voice over anecdotes" regarding the instrument, add some "playing recorded footage" before packing and .. there you go. Another film in the can. Have a good day. Koff.

@Marc Babin, it has been a while since this video had uploaded i am trying to remember. Probably the same i would use now probably left over car polisher(meguiars) i bet. Baby wipes to dust it before. Warm dish water for the metal parts.
Now the 6 individual saddle pieces the strings rest on, are 3 supposed to be facing one way and 3 the other? Its the first guitar I got where I noticed that.
Omicron, I have come across other guitars that the pieces were in the position you described. The ibanez gax70 video had the same style of bridge and saddle and the saddles faced different from each other as well, just how they come sometimes i guess.
