The mindset of some white folks thinks whites are superior race to others. Arnel can sing any genre Steve Perry can't. Arnel can sing Chicago songs and Alone by Heart. He is versatile. The universe knows Arnel Pineda is the best. I won't compare him to Steve Perry they are different.
We meet Arnel in 83 at Shakers where he was singing in his band . I was on my run to be the first person to run around the world . The last time we saw him was in 2007 in Makati just before he joined Journey . His voice in 83 blew us all away and he still has it today. We love him a beautiful heart for all to enjoy.

We were blessed to hear him in Manila in 1983. His voice was outstanding and I told him that one day the world will know him. He is a very beautiful person who has been rewarded for all the happiness and love he has given with his music. We love you Arnel the Parcell family.

Arnel no soul in his voice. Deen has soul and an incredible voice. He pays tribute to SP every time he sings Journey tunes. The absolute only substitute for Perry. All that and drums too!!
I remember when they first brought Arnel on board, I was happy for them. I recognized Steve WAS the voice of the original songs that I loved, but Arnel came to carry the torch. Band politics are a b*tch, he didn't cause the problems, but he solved them. What a story. I love it. I'm so happy that Neal found his videos on line and made that call.

Arnel is faultless of being in Journey. Blame it to Neil,Jonathan and Dean maybe. If and only if he is short of the standards of the original Journey members, he could not have lasted 15 years being the front man of Journey. God bless Journey.
