Great video! Nice to watch an expert setting up an anchor in a real situation, as opposed to tutorials on the ground or with stitched together clips. Helps me understand the pace and the thought process.
NH isn't the Rockies of the Alps. We don't have 12K foot peaks. So people think it's no big deal to be hiking/climbing in NH. They don't realize how brutally cold, snowy and windy it gets in our little state.
Oh yes. I’ve walked up and down the chimney. It just depends on your comfort and conditions. I have a few Baxter videos posted. When we climbed Cilley Barber we walked down Chimney.
The view up there is nice. I've hunted deer in that area most my life. If you go up thru that valley over the top, Sunday river maine is to the left and shelburne nh to the right. Bald cap road use to be the shelburne trail.
How is the tree holding up? It looked pretty rough last spring! It's hard to believe that P2 and P3 are relatively new additions given how great the climbing is.
I like it, and would recommend if you’re in the market for portable coffee maker. Nice that you have the option of starting with cold water, versus the “hand pump” style which requires heating water separately.
I'm looking at leaving from Saco Bound for the two day trip. Where would you recommend camping? Wondering if I should plan on grabbing a sandbar or booking a site at Saco Pines? Looks like an awesome time with the family.
