Man it feels like 2014 all over again! I drew a manti tag again this year so I’ve been binge watching all your old videos. I remember watching this in 2014 the first time I drew it.
Yes! That’s fantastic. Congratulations. Call me sometime and let’s talk. I know the Manti really well and am happy to help if you’d like. Do you have my number? My old man has the late rifle tag this year too. So I’m going to be scouting a ton.
Thanks man I’m pretty excited for it. My close buddy had the muzzy tag last year so I learned a ton. Oh how cool! That’ll be a great time with your dad. I have the mid season. No I don’t have your number anymore unfortunately. I’ll DM your Instagram.
Came across this video super cool and nice work! We hunt every year in Co! Always good to see success, we shall see what ‘24 brings! Remember it’s not about the hunt it’s about the time you spend with those who enjoy what you do… Cheers fellas
Thanks John. It’s been a rather slow year for me. Which is fine. I’m still very much enjoying my time in the mountains and the very good exercise. Take care.
Thanks Jason. That turkey was shot after a snowy/rainy super cold morning, so he looks awful in the pics. But I called him in to 6 yards. It was a blast.
I've been so close, I feel, but no dice yet. 2 long trips. I've been thinking about making a trip down towards your neck of the woods! Awesome content like always, man!!
I haven’t had the best of luck this year either. I’ve found plenty of sheds, but they have all been small and not a lot of good browns. Oh well, it’s good exercise I guess.
Ha. Wouldn’t that be hilarious?! We’ll know which tags we’re dealing with here in a couple weeks though. So that is always fun. Take care man. And thank you.
Hey man, I am probably not going to say which unit. Just because I get that question so often and I don’t necessarily want to have a bunch more guys jumping into the same unit(s) that I hunt over there. It’s already a very heavily hunted unit.
@@elkfreak3 thanks man. I am happy to share some info if you’d like. Shoot me an email and I’ll let you know a few more details. Brycecastagnetto@gmail.com
Hello Scott. It was in fact a boar. Bears can be challenging for sure. He looked pretty big. He was probably about 175-200 lbs. Not a huge body, but had a big head for sure. Either way, it was a great hunt. Thanks.
Thanks man. I’m telling you… the spike hunt is overlooked every year. It’s treated as a lesser hunt because we aren’t killing big bulls. That thinking is flawed. It’s a riot! Amazing meat and lots of action.
I love your videos, no hype, no music, just an awesome collection of how your hunts went. More should do the same! Appreciate your videos! Keep them coming!
Thanks man. That’s incredibly kind of you. I appreciate the feedback and your comment. I just know what I like to watch in a hunting video and try to keep it simple. Thanks again. Best of luck.
I sure enjoy your videos. I love bow hunting that exact area in a lot of your vids you post. Never had any luck. Keep them coming man! Maybe one day I’ll see you up there! Good luck this year
What an idiotic thing to say. Who are you to tell others what type of buck they should or shouldn’t shoot? I’ve never understood how people like yourself think they somehow have the authority to dictate what others should do. I don’t care what you or anyone else thinks. Nobody needs to ever justify themselves to you with regard to hunting or killing a buck of their choice. That’s the beautiful thing about living in this country. I can do what I want (as long as it’s legal) and there isn’t a single thing you can do about that. Clearly, you’ve got it all figured out and somehow only kill giant animals. Good for you. How dare you judge. Shame on you. You should be embarrassed for being such a giant douche. Accusing others of being a problem as if you are the solution. Absolutely hilarious. Better luck next time at not being such a dumbass.
I really like all the action in this video! Great work! I’ve been there with those shots before, get yourself a Kestrel ballistic calculator! Calculates are your spin drift, wind, drop data, etc. makes all this long range work a lot easier and tbh faster, takes you from hitting animals to choosing between high shoulder, behind the shoulder etc from 700yds.
That looked like a target rich environment. Glad to see some good game numbers after last winter. “I better get a better attitude if I’m going to kill a buck” classic 😂
None of the bucks we killed this year were very big. All of them are nice deer, but they aren’t big score bucks. We aren’t necessarily trophy guys. We find bucks we like and shoot them. So, it was a really fun hunt.
It was so much fun man. You know we didn’t kill the big bucks that we had all hoped to. But it’s so much fun to just get after it. Great to catch up man. Let’s make that an annual thing.
Thanks dude. It was a blast. We didn’t see as many deer or bucks as big as we did last year. Then again, it’s not a great unit. We have just been lucky and seem to find decent bucks every year. Thanks again man.
Thank you John. Very kind of you. We had another wonderful adventure and enjoyed being out in amazing country. We are very blessed to be able to do these types of things. The bucks we all killed were obviously not very big, but for us… that is not what matters most. God bless.
Thanks man. It always sucks to see the bigger bucks running away like they did this trip. But, we still managed to have a blast! Did you hunt Co this year? If so, I hope to be able to see some videos from your hunts.
Looks like you guys had a blast! I just finished my axis video and then putting together my Utah general deer and CO 2nd season videos. Hopefully by Christmas
Cool video: just to make you aware in Colorado once you pull the trigger, it's unlawful to not go check for blood, even if you think it was a miss, including the long shots, no camo orange is legal in Colorado, guys hat, it's a carcass tag, goes on animal, not horns, unless you bring animal out whole, but once butchered, tag stays with meat, not on horns
