Forget boy bands, Beyoncé, P Squiddly, Taylor the over-rated sparkly girl, Rap in its entirety. This is fantastic real music played by excellent musicians. Our young could benefit so much from listening to this. And luckily some are . . .
One of my most favourite songs ever, I still have my original copy of In the land of Grey and Pink, the sleeve is a bit tatty after all this time but the vinyl is near perfect, still play it today.
I missed this one Gareth, I'm a huge fan of the early Caravan stuff! At least Pye Hastings is still going strong - but I miss Richard Sinclair... I hear the lovely Lee Pomeroy has joined the band on bass, I'd definitely like to hear that!
Hi Pete. Actually Pye is struggling now but still a great man. We saw Caravan in Brighton last year, I think. They were talking about going to Japan! Lee's the nicest guy and could play anywhere but he told me he loves his Prog.
"Bolder messaging" would presumably include competent messaging. Titling anything a "manifesto" in 2023 is an embarrassing blunder. More modest goals first; replace crap messaging with messaging that is less-crap.
Ich kenne euch von früher, die Stimme funktioniert nicht mehr so gut und das Original ohne Geige war wesentlich besser. Dave Sinclair hat eine sehr schöne Version veröffentlicht.
How lucky those of you that can watch them perform this live! They won't come to Argentina sadly. One of the best tracks ever, what a band. Can't believe how they performed this live, in front a small audience.
@@stuartwaby3081 I got a bit carried away Stuart. In retrospect several caravan tracks come close and I reckon For Richard was the best thing I'd ever heard before Nine feet underground, which I still consider to be the best!
@@desmondobrien8419 It's just my opinion but for me For Richard is their best ever, having said that i love Nine Feet Underground and can completely understand your opinion 🙂
Sorry Geoffrey but without Doug Boyle it's Jan who steps up to the plate. Greatly underrated keyboard player. Been my band since buying Waterloo Lily in Cob Records in Portmadoc, North Wales in 1972 and seen them many times - including Old Buckenham School. Even lucky enough to have met the "real"😀 Golf Girl :-))
Amazing to watch a bunch of, on the face of it, old men playing music like they’re still in their 20s. I saw these in the early 80s in Cardiff University, and it’s still one of my favourite gig memories. I’d never been in an audience, before or since, that spent the entire gig sitting cross-legged in front of the band. A fog of cannabis in the air. Thanks for the memories.
WHAOUHHHHH Je me souviens d'un concert au Rainbow auditorium à Roanne dans les seventies ! J'étais au light show et ai passé le concert avec des appareils entre les jambes, sur les poutres de la structure du toit, bien stone !!! Quel souvenir. MERCI du rappel. Gégé (71 ans).
I bought the album in 1970 and a little while later Caravan were playing live in the town I lived in, fantastic band....and this track very trippy as in aceeeeeeeeeedddd :)
