the events mechanics along with the boss in this event seem so meh. i can clear with 4 stars no prob! (the boss will get obliterated if i use my 6 stars)
Seeing this I think it can even be optimized to 4 ops by taking out Ifrit, the clear will take like 40 minutes but seeing that she's basically here to deal damage to Eblana it can be done that Mayer keeps the right lane with Doro like you're doing and change Silence to Silencer, because Ifrit isn't here there's no need to keep Eblana out of the mud to have her attack speed reduced, improving Saria's survivability a lot and giving the necessary hit count for the shielders and the occasional S2 in case it gets dangerous.
Coming back just to say it is 100% possible, tried on CM because I'm stupid and the stall gets broken on phase 2 because Silencer skill cycles became desynchronized with Eblana's explosion making a slight difference of heal needed to tank it and Eblana's basic attacks on top of the defender, without the stat increase there's absolutely no risk whatsoever. Might even be possible on CM but each stall cycle to phase 2 is 20 minutes long if nothing goes wrong so I'm leaving that to whoever wants to sit through it
Watching Horn and Ashlock kill the slugs just fast enough to not spread any blight is pretty satisfying. Firewhistle being isolated in a tile that will soon be filled with blight, away from the other paddies was also neat strategy. Pretty much a clean clear, nicely done! 💛
I ended up disappointed in the same way, that's why I didn't even try to record my clear, it's funny and sad that this stage is way more easier than EX-8 just because the boss here stays in place and loops for like an hour before going to the blue box while having a whole lot more of deployable tiles, also the mosquitos not having any risk because haha Astgenne goes zap

This is basically the same strat I ended up with except that I used Mumu S1 to have more DP gen Then I said fuck it because I'm not getting paid to bother sitting through an annihilation map lmao

It's more so cuz there aren't many ranged tiles I can use since most of the favorable ones are occupied by water pumps. I imagine it could be done with Maggie, but I had a blast forming a solution with Mayer as the star over her
Oh huh, I never even considered that her traps could enhance water flow, even though I remember the old days of cheesing wolumonde with robin. Should be helpful for making S stages easier.
This stage is actually easier with challenge mode on, because the squishy ranged units have zero block, that's half the difficulty of this event gone since the enemies can't attack my casters and snipers, this is the only stage from this event where I remeber benching Lin.
Beautiful clear. Without Obly uploading new videos I have severe lack of Magallan solos in my blood. Really hope someone gonna do more of that stuff because not feeding this addiction makes me want to off myself.

@@kanamescocoapie4149 nice catch. the valves not only solved the invisibility, but it also prevents the Miasma from absorbing any blight upon death and not gain DEF
@@EyeOfStormSs oh right since theyre not close to any blighted water they wouldnt absorb anything!! itd be good for getting the trimmed medal too!! incredible catch i should retry the level with that idea, should ranged dps manage to deal with em in time. i keep having issues with my defenders dying in the blighted water lmao
Fun fact: Magallan can actually solo DV-8 and IC-9, maps with global damage/enemy skills that Ling, to my knowledge, is unable to solo. This is primarily due to the fact that SUM-X allows Magallan to temporarily go invisible and dodge the damage.
This run was riddled with so much RNG. Depending on where I kill the boss when it does its phase transition, the Filth it spawns can travel off-center to the blue box. This results in there being a chance for them not getting killed by the mines when leaving the bottom valve and slipping away invisible. It was important that I had to kill the boss right on top of the valve to ensure that doesn't happen. Another thing this run hinges on is keeping the farmland as tidy as possible. Doing so slows down the boss during phase 2 which gives us enough time for Lin to get her S3 up when it approaches the blue box. After that, it's just finding the right sequence of mine placements to stall the boss and kill the mobs.
