I did not even make it to sit down and Villa have pulled one back 😲😲😲😭😭😭😭 I did record replay of goal posted it here got an instant copyright warning so deleted it. Vill went on to win 3-2. 😱😱😱😥😥😥 My granddaughters sent a voice message, should of stayed in the shed Grandad!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Sorry girls, my fault. 😮😮😮😮
@@gregorynickerson7407 I have had mine apart to fix fuel gauge on a C1 apart from that there is a metal link pipe goes from underneath filler cap to rear of tank were it emerges has a small metal pipe with rubber hose attached down to rear of engine, this is to take any water from your tank cap in case of rain, out safely to the road. It saves any water filling up the filler cap and then mixing with your petrol. 👍👍👍👍
The were and still are nice bikes, in 1990 when this model came out we used to go twenty miles in late evening to Southport Superbikes just to stare at it through the shop window. 🤣🤣 I did buy a brand new ZZR that year from Southport Superbikes but not the 1100 the 250 twin. 😊😊😊 Got me back into bikes after a long lay off. Could not afford the 1100 at the time, was tempted with the 600 but again, would have left me skint. 😮😮😮
@@jritchiejritchie2687 That's exactly what was up with it buddy, staff at Halfords said it as happened a few times, they are aware of some nozzles not manufactured quite right. Usually a clean out of the nozzle sorts it. Halfords Staff were very good, swapped them no problems at all. 👍👍👍👍👍
Meant to say exhaust downpipes not painted they are stainless, rear tailpipes black parts painted, chrome is in good condition. Took off exhaust to fix leak, Ste cleaned behind them, cleaned and painted the radiator and oil cooler black. Coming along nice. May take wheels to be fitted with tyres tomorrow, Monday. New valves, Pirelli Angels and balance. 😎😎😎👍👍👍
😂😂😂😂😂 nearly all done now Jay, rear suspension rebuild and paint, cockpit fairing and front mudguard repair and paint and I think that's it on all the painting, carbs need sorting too. 👍👍👍👍
This is the £500.00 bargain Ducati 900S my mate Stevie bought, common fault, rear head bolts snap. Has got improved head bolts for rear cylinder plus all fairing panels in immaculate condition plus original exhaust, he may be able to purchase set of termignoni exhaust of seller of bike. He is a good mate of ours too. 😎😎😎😎
@@philipdoran5148 Thanks mate, yer, making progress now. Gonna start on the cockpit fairing later, front mudguard too. Other bits can go back to friends who has stripped it down to help us. Noticed small run on back wheel, sort that later too. 😎😎😎👍👍👍👍
@@philipdoran5148 Thank you, yer, was a pain but get a refund, will go to Saint Helens Autopaints, get a matched Red from them, our kid deffo wants his wheels red so get different paint from them, will be fine, see how the weather is tomorrow. 👍👍👍
@@keithbudd7335 yes that's correct Keith, I just checked, is called Quick bikes, episode I refer too is called Tickety engine and crazy idea-1990 Kawasaki ZZR1100. Is great episode as was the whole series. Well worth watching. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for putting these videos up, it's informative for those of us still driving these tid saabs. I wonder what happened to yours, did the cambelt/waterpump fail before you would normally think about changing it? My car is on 150k, and I previously had them changed at 110k (as there was no history when I got the car). So I thought I would leave the next change to around 170, not so sure now.
Hi @user, it was the water pump that failed, 😢😢 it welded itself solid. What happens then is the belt is still rotating with the other pulleys getting super heated by friction on the stuck non rotating water pump. Water pump got so hot on mine it turned Blue, siezed solid. This stripped lots of the teeth on the belt untill it failed, was not snapped but had stretched and slipped causing the failure of the rockers. Great design with allowing the rockers to fail instead of valve or piston damage. Quite an easy fix really, fixing outside in bad weather it took a lot longer than inside a dry garage. I had to buy extra tools too. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂 If I was you, purchase a cambelt kit and water pump and get it done soon. I left my full kit for 6 weeks in the corner of my living room, do it tomorrow I thought as you know, tomorrow never comes, because when it does it's Today. 😊😊😊😊 Good luck with any work you do, if your not sure most garage's will charge about £250.00 labour only, get a quality kit for about £130.00 I used a Gates kit, seam like they are a kit used by lots of people on various cars, other brands are perfectly fine too. The Internet is your friend here, research what people recommend. Thanks for your kind comment, Vinny. 😊😊😊
Amazing that the engine runs. Did you perform any other checks on the valves and pistons? Camera through the sparkies? I had a Volvo engine where the valve springs failed and retainers fell out causing the valves to drop into 2 cylinders. Dents and deep scratches on the pistons, walls and head. But engine still ran! It didn't run good however and later on engine was scrapped and replaced with a rebuilt one.
Hello Max, yes, I used a camera endescope down the injector bores, it's a Diesel. 🙂 No damage at all to the pistons and what I can see of the bores. 🙏🙏🙏 On this, the 1.9JTD engine the valves stand upright not at an angle. 👍 When a piston strikes the valve it pushes the valve straight up, making the rockers fail (snap) on their pivot point, it is just a case of rocker cover off (after removal of injectors) replace the damaged rockers, making sure no bits of metal are left behind. The camshafts run in the rocker cover itself. Out of the sixteen rockers, two survived damage. I replaced all sixteen, best to be safe, the intact rockers could have suffered some sort of microscopic damage so back in use they might of failed. 😮😮😮😮😮 Disaster. 😢😢😢 Thanks for your comment. Vinny. 😊
Hi, if yours is a C1 to C3 it is 140 psi of air added after fresh oil. I will get back to you later on oil amount and what grade I used, I think it was 7.5 will check workshop manual when I get home later. If it's a D model Zzr1100 the air pressure is much less, will put up info later on. 😊
Sorry for late reply, I have just found my Haines manual. It states not applicable concerning all the D models, will do a bit more digging to find out the info you need. I do have a workshop manual somewhere, will check that to see if that gives us the oil quantity. 😊@@blogunable
I have found a RU-vid video with a rear shock rebuild on a D model Zzr1100, he mentions that he puts 150 PSI air pressure back in shock, he also states how much oil capacity he refills with including the grade to use. Will post you link to video. I stated that the air pressure is much lower in the D Model but I might of got confused with the air pressure in my brothers Gpz900r A1 which is much lower at between 7and21 PSI.
Red Stella Ltd was the name of the rockers supplier, next day delivery, well packaged and best price I found £89.99 I got them for £72.00 with an offer on Ebay. 😊
Note, I did undo the bolts holding the engine lift brackets to see if they went deep into the engine block. They only went into the cam cover so they come away with the cam cover. 😢
I sussed out how to use the regulator, you pull the black valve up and then twist anticlockwise to lower pressure to whatever you have connected then clockwise to increase the pressure to your attached tool. Watching some videos on RU-vid is great to gain knowledge to use this or any other compressor safely. This is my first compressor I have owned or used so thank you to all those other people who took the time to show themselves using theirs 👍👍👍😊😊😊 it weighs 22kg 👍
Waiting for slide hammer and another tool which uses a bolt to lift the injector upwards and out. Wont be here until Monday or Tuesday next week. Will fit antispace door over the Weekend to replace door that has two large panes of glass that is not safety glass. :-)
Went to Mallory Park in 1973/74? I think it was the first British race venue for the Yamaha TZ 700. Was it Neil Tuxford or Chris Chatterton who rode the bike ...... Perhaps someone would like to correct me?
Just watched Everton get their first point of the season away at Sheffield United. :-) even game, both teams fought hard, pickford saving Everton right at the end. Its now half three in the afternoon, happy Everton got something so gonna go sort the damage out on swingarm. :-) remove that old crusty brake pipe, lash it in the bin, cut in half first. 😂 Got a new Hel braided brake hose on its way, new banjo stainless bolts, crush washers and brake line banjo ends are stainless too. Clear line covering. :-) will video clean up and old brake line chuck away.😅😅😅😊
When pumping the legs up and down it sounds like a clanger talking to the soup Dragon 😅😅😅 showing my age there. Search clangers on RU-vid to see what I am on about. 😊😊😊
Now Friday, raining cats and dogs here this afternoon, nearly 5 bells and starting to go off, have a go at some bits after tea. Weather supposed to be better tomorrow, 😊 get some more painting done. 😊
