This Channel is about Minimalism and ADHD. I found that Minimalism helped my son manage his ADHD symptoms, and that was the beginning of our family’s minimalism journey. My husband and I are raising three kids two of which have ADHD. Our son has ADHD predominately hyper and our middle daughter has ADHD predominately inattentive or what used to be called ADD. Minimalism makes everyday life much easier for all of us.

I like to share tips and tricks for living minimally and for living with ADHD. Hopefully, others can learn from our mistakes and discoveries. (I am not giving medial advice)

I have had one of these for about ten years and just invested in a second one. It is great in Europe. I carry it as a backpack on day trips and fold it into the cross body for museums and shopping. It is my everyday bag too.

I liked this bag too. Unfortunately I got one with a faulty zipper. It was a problem from day one, so it must have been a problem with a batch of Zippers they received at their factory. I was hoping they would send me another bag. At first they offered me one in a different color because the color I had wasn’t in production anymore, but after I picked a color they changed their minds and insisted on refunding my money. At least they have been nice about replacing faulty bags.

I sprayed it with waterproofing spray when it was new. I have a sister-in-law that works with textiles and tested fabric in clothes for outdoor use that had been sprayed with a protective spray and those that hadn’t. The ones that were waterproofed lasted longer and were easier to get clean. Anyway every time I wash it I spray it again. Good luck.

If it isn't a clear yes I love it, see if you can declutter it now. My experience is that I saved gifted items for years unused due to guilty feelings or I 'might' use it. Once I took pictures of the items, I could donate them. I also tried the technique to use an item at least once so then I honored the person giving me the gift and was at peace in letting it go. People who love me wouldn't want me to keep items as a burden ❤
@theadhdminimalist5060
@theadhdminimalist5060 4 месяца назад
Yes it is easy to feel obligated to keep things. I did get rid of some wedding gifts and other gifts pretty quickly after I got them because I knew I wouldn’t use them. It’s those gifts that you sort of like, but don’t need or don’t have space for that are hard to make decisions about. I kept things way too long. It would be great if everyone would look at gifts as someone showing us they care and quit putting so much emphasis on what is done with the gift. Even if the person receiving the gift gives it to a second hand store the gift still did its job and conveyed love or appreciation. It’s that moment in time when the gift is given that is important not the gift itself.

I love the dressers stacking on top of each other. What a great idea for using the available vertical space!
@theadhdminimalist5060
@theadhdminimalist5060 6 месяцев назад
Hi we were left these 3 dressers when we bought our house, and I realised they were all the same width and fit nicely stacked in some dead space. Believe it or not our house didn’t have any closets when we bought it. No storage! It’s a small converted barn. You could stack dressers that get smaller in width and depth but that would probably look better on a wall by itself in a bedroom perhaps. When you have a it slapped up against a chimney like I do a clean line on each side is nice. Place an ad on facebook marketplace asking for dressers with the dimensions you need, and you may get lucky.

You might have a defective zipper as I’ve seen other demos where the zipper seemed to work. Pacsafe from what I’ve read has great customer service; perhaps they’ll help you. Or you could try googling how to fix a sticky zipper. Thanks for your honest review; the sliding strap issue is not for me. Happy travels to you and stay safe.

I never feel unsafe at home or on holidays. I have used Pacsafe for over 10 years as the great features I look for is tap can't be cut, docs can't be scammed security on them are the best. This is the best of al their bags as it can be used as a cross body bag, a clutch and a back pac.

Yes, I know that it goes through the tab and it should hang down, but if the thief knows how those bags work it seems too easy to get the zipper open anyway. It seems harder to open on another pacsafe bag I have, but thanks for sharing your description will help others understand the bag.
@cazgreene3055
@cazgreene3055 Год назад
that front zipper works great - I have the same one - it works by threading the end of the zipper pull through the tab first and then pull down - that way it is harder for a thief to quickly get into your bag. And the shoulder strap that unlocks and locks from the bottom of the bag is designed to be wrapped around a chair/table/bed leg and then clipped back on to the backpack & lock. Then no one can take your bag.

It seems I need to make a few things clear about this video and my matching blogpost. I am not suggesting you throw out your child’s favourite toys or toys they just got for their birthday. Many toys and games at our house were bought for the whole family and don’t belong to a specific child. Furthermore I suggest you declutter broken toys and games and items that may not work for kids with ADHD. If you have a lot of unused toys that your your kids received as gifts, yet they don’t play with them feel free to pack them up and rotate them! Toy rotation make many toys fun again!

Dear parents! When Your kids are very good behaviour all the time and always taking good care of their things, keeping their rooms very clean, loving their favorite things and want to make nice childhood collections of their things: books, clothes, toys, video games, clothes, DVDs and etc, then donataing is very wrong thing to do. If You have few space then storage boxes and shelves will help You out and Your kids will be very happy and thankful then, if they can keep their favourite things. Childhood things are very valuable and it is very sad, if they won’t see them anymore in their life. Every child should have the right to keep their things, if they can take good care of them all the time!!! Respectfully, Astra Viil ☺️🙏
