You might want to correct your pronunciation of the new casino/hotel. It's pronounced Chamonix...the X is silent. Both my GF and I laughed out loud when we heard you pronounce it. Honest mistake, though. We love the place. Have stayed there 3 times already.

In my opinion, Cripple Creek is worth the drive. It's slightly off the beaten path but that means less traffic and easier parking. The donkeys and the troll (Rita) would be a fun family outing. Thank you so much for watching!
