Hi. Just a couple questions on the Mezzo Forte. 1. Which model is it? I think the hybrids are either Evoline or Designline, for 2024 anyway. 2. Is the bridge and soundpost set up from factory or did a local luthier do it?
I'm still trying to find an amp for my Yamaha SVC210. I didn't see much advice about choosing an amp in this video. Can you do a video just on amps for electric cellos please?
Hi Adrienne, what roland speaker do you use behind you as well as amp ? Plus are you rocking a low F or high E on the chello? P.s is the Line 6 wireless or wired? You the best chello player on RU-vid in my opinion :)
Thank you! I hadn’t seen a video of the shoulder strap being used. I want one for my NS CRT bass. I didn’t know if it held the instrument in a good position for arco playing. Thanks!
Hi Adrienne, I really like the style you are playing, especially when demonstrating the more heavy and distorted rock sounds. Me, a bass player, started struggling ;-) with a NS 5String Cello a couple of months ago, and it´s a lot of fun, even it´s a hard job... I´d like to know, if there is any "hard`n´heavy" stuff recorded available from you - i would appreciate! Great videos, thumbs up! Have a good time and greetings from Germany.
The first part of this video (without the effects) has the best sound of any NS Design cello video I've heard. Most of them depict an instrument that doesn't really sound like a cello. Do you find it more difficult to bow the 5 string? Thanks!
Hi Andrienne, Thanks for sharing? I just bought a NS cello, what pedal do you recommend and amp for playing/practicing alone? Also, could you please post the links of your devices used in the video? Thanks!
How is it going back and forth between acoustic and the NS electric? I have only been playing for a year and I'm worried I might develop bad habits in the upper positions if I'm playing on an NS electric before I've gotten upper position technique down on acoustic. I do plan on keeping an acoustic as my primary practice cello, with an electric supplementing the acoustic, so maybe that mitigates the potential for developing bad habits adequately. I would definitely get the end pin kit.
I play left-handed. I'll be sitting down a lot, but I would also like to play standing up. I will mainly be bowing I am going to buy the NXTa 5-string cello with an E string. What strap system should I buy? I can buy 2 different strap systems if I need to. Thanks. Jake
The first one much more muted compared to the carbon fiber cello. With a pickup the wood cello sounded thin compared to the carbon fiber. I am shocked thatvyhey carbon fiber sounded richer and smoother and projected much better then the wood cello. I have an inexpensive Cicilio cello and plan on upgrading about $1500 to $2000 range. What would you recommend?
Wow what a beautiful talented young lady you are. I so enjoy watching young people like you, ( am a 61 year guy advanced beginner cellist) have such wonderful talent.
@@mrector23 hey thanks so much for replying, I will look into it. Do you have any suggestions? My audio interface has a DI input. All that does is distort the sound when I turn up the volume.
@@jasonmelo9379 - I have a couple different ones that I use depending on what I want to do. When I just want to practice through headphones I have a NUX Stageman Floor. It's about $150 and is perfect for getting good sound to head phones, or to my amp for that matter. When I'm just going to the amp and don't need headphones I have a LR Baggs Venue DI. This one is a bit more expensive around $300. Both of these boxes have DI outputs (XLR) so you'd run your cello into one of these, and then run the XLR DI out from the direct box to the DI in for your audio interface.
@@jasonmelo9379 - Jason, I just upgraded my kit to a Line 6 Stomp and ordered the 3sigma audio cello impulses (found under acoustic -> strings) and even better than ever! Though it doesn’t have an XLR output.
