I can see the humor in this scene…and, at the same time, I kinda feel sorry for Captain Harris. His only friend is a bumbling moron, his people skills are abysmal-and, in this movie, things keep happening to him. He fell down a # of times going after these kids-and he brought it on himself, since all they were doing was skateboarding. He tried getting them charged with wrecking a police car and “destroying a shopping mall,” which they never did…and he HIMSELF ended up getting a contempt charge for a fart that he did not commit. Then, there were his medical issues. First, he suffered chemical burns when Zed replaced his aerosol deodorant with mace. Then, he ended up having to go to the hospital with his bullhorn securely super-glued to his mouth, and had to “wait for the damn GLUE to wear off!” all the while relying on intravenous feeding (note the IV bag in his room). And that’s just a partial list. I mean, I realize he brought it all on himself, and I know there’s some humor in all that…but it’s also a little sad, if you think about it.
"I'm just a nobody. Trying to tell everybody. About somebody. Who saved my soul." Oh.. also I'm the same nobody who thinks Michael Winslow plays virtually the best character in the franchise.
I like the story about Tony Hawk being David Spade's skateboarding double, but his scenes were cut because Tony hit a growth spurt in between shooting and became too tall.
ONE VERY BIG POINT OR NOT SO BIG WE NEVER KNOW ! WHY WAS THIS PICTURE SO NARROW , THIN ? i think i First was these when i was about 10 , 11 year ' s old I THINK i did not understand what was going on not Surprised then i was it again in 89 90 BINGO , One Min Thirty Second ' s THAT GUY allway ' s calling for Procktor ! HOW many time ' s where they stuck in the Pub Bar , and that Court Case where the WHOLE room think ' s that he let a Crocker go off ;
For a long time I only had seen this scene when it was edited for tv and thought the reason the commandant the way he was asking for light was because he was afraid of the dark
