It disgusts me how far gone we have become as a country. The fact that we’re so divided that it’s become a crime to be patriotic. I will never apologize for my love of the United States of America 🇺🇸. We’re all Americans and that’s the way it should be. Love your country!!!
Interesting. I didn't know that there was another intellectual property that used that title. Considering that in 1936, the only kind of zombie most people knew of was the voodoo kind, they might find it difficult to understand the George Romeo interpretation.
Simply wonderful. I love the fact that it goes back to the time when Russia was our ally, against Hitler. As many brave young Russians died as did Americans. I know those days are gone--but they existed.
i am 76 yrs old & i remember this from my very early school years. i'm not sure if it was mr. robinson's recording, but i remember that i was spellbound
Oh my gosh NEVER seen this ...!!!💙all these " Three Stooges actresses & actors ...laughed till i cried ... Christine so beautiful ..all Soo funny.... love real He- Men!!
In the currently available version not only are there multiple misspellings but you can still hear the MGM lion roar without seeing him! A very shoddy job.
Bravo! Loved the period recording of "Jazz Karikaturen." You can read all about this score in my 1983 article "Music for the Monsters: Universal Picture's Horror Film Scores of the Thirties" that appeared in the last issue of the now defunct "Quarterly Journal of the Library of Congress."
Thanks Bill! I've actually added one or two pieces since this original posting. And of course your superb article is indispensable for fans of the film and Heinz' score!
Very good Old Mill footage. The only footage online right now of any previous version btw. I can almost pin point where all of those scenes are today on the current version. Some stuff in the background they decided to leave like the rocks in the artic scene.
I actually remember the Old Mill from the 60's. It was totally different and the water was pouring down at the entrance and exit. It evolved over the years, which is why you hear my son say "they ruined the Old Mill!" Even HE recognized the changes from just a year or so before.
