Yes, thank you. I often do but was by myself and did not want to slide the interior table outside by myself. I can send you a video of that if you are interested. Thanks for your comment - I agree with you 100%
Yes, this is a very good design. For production efficiency, the boat is molded when new with the top half of the bow thruster tunnel. This way it can still be released from the mold. The tunnel itself is formed when the lower half of the tunnel added with a separate fiberglass piece. This is permanently fixed to the hull and could be faired smoother but is OK as it shows.
I understand where you might think that way but in my experience, with twin rudder boats all over including in Maine where lobster pots are everywhere, these rudders work very well. They provide excellent control, a light helm, and I don't know of any that have broken off from grounding so far.
Hi Sean, Thanks for your note. The MSRP for this GT 32 launched with bottom paint and ready to go is $418.000 with the fall savings discount applied. Interested? Would you like me to send the options pricing and specs? Thanks, Mark Edwards medwards@capeyachts.com
Such a nice boat!!! Would be perfect for Lake Como in Italy...I have a Colombo and looking for a Hunt but the cost to import in Europe is too expensive!
Beneteau just covers the stainless steel wheels because you get a better grip, the leather adds dimension to the tube making it more comfortable and it looks great. They don't add any coverings to the composite wheels. If one doesn't like the leather, it can be unstitched or cut away.
Exquisite vessel, all that's required is replacing this Dipstick with someone that's motivated and inspired enough to give this beautiful vessel its true accolade.
this model from Beneteau is offered with a lifting keel option. If you are sailing in New England, in the US, I would be happy to help you order this boat with a lift keel. Thank you, Mark Edwards, Cape Yachts medwards@capeyachts.com
Thanks very much. This new MJM model was just introduced at the Newport boat show in RI. I got to test drive the boat last week. She is absolutely incredible.
Very interesting how it is transported without the keel. The 46.1 is built in France ? Was it ferried over from the factory ? It comes off the ferry without the keel, gets loaded on that trailer and hauled to you ?
Thanks Steve, I appreciate your comment. I generally do a straight walk through and so my tour are not very polished - still I hope helpful. Have a great summer sailing yours.
Thanks Steve. I am not sure why I am just now finding your comment on my RU-vid page but appreciate your positive feedback. I have a 2020 model for sale in New England right now so tell your friends. In fact, the boat in the video I shot is for sale.
Yes, this boat sold. I was away at the boat show in FL so very sorry to be slow responding. Do you want to connect about ordering a new boat ? Thanks Mark Edwards medwards@capeyachts.com
Hi Jay, the two ST 41's I sold this spring/summer don't creak badly at all - in any case when creaks occur on ST's or other boats I've been involved with, the fix is easy
@@PhilbyFavourites I believe the team uses a number of techniques including a slight chamfering of the sole panel edges with a block plane, and very thin tape or gasket where the sole meets the supporting structure under. Also, some panels may not need to be accessed frequently, and these can be nicely secured with screws
@@kiwimon3204 Hi there, I expect there is a boat distributor in New Zealand who can order a boat from MJM for you but if not I am guess the shipping cost to be around $30,000 US. In any case, the next available boat of this model from MJM is our hull # 18 which will be finished at the factory next summer 2022.
Hi JD, the top load ice box is refrigerated. I would not call it a freezer however you may keep ice if the cubes tray is up against the cooling plate inside the box. It is primarily considered a refrigerator.
Hi Malcolm, Yes, the cockpit locker is huge and big enough you can jump right down into it. We have several of these on order for inventory for next season in case you are interested. Thanks Mark Edwards, Cape Yachts medwards@capeyachts.com
I think Benny missed the boat. It would be much better to have a single wheel swing to either side, and simpler still to use a tiller in this size. The interior is ridiculously clinical in appearance and the review was incomplete, not showing the engine and without the standing rigging or anything to show scale, actual size as of cockpit. Reviewer gets a 3 out of 10. If details are missed, better no review at all.
HI Robin, Thanks for your comments. I agree that a more complete tour with the boat rigged and everything ready would be better. In this busy boat environment, I wanted to give a taste of what we had available. Also I find the video can be too twitchy and jumpy if I open the engine hatches and lockers and such so tend to save that for a Facetime type connection with a client. By the way, the two wheels on this boat is an option - standard is a tiller so we can accommodate you there. Let me know if you would like more information on this and if you want to consider one for spring 2022 ? That is the lead time on these now. Thanks, Mark Edwards, medwards@capeyachts.com
Love this boat, BUT where are the cup holders in the cockpit?? There are 5 that I can count while the cockpit will easily seat 8 or more. More importantly at the underway seats, where you really need them, there is 1 for 4 people. On the other hand the bow is designed to accommodate 3 people and has 5 cup holders. What gives? The Sea Ray Sundancer 320, Galleon 32 GTO and Regal 33 SAV all have at least 3 times as many. What's up Beneteau??
Hi Richard and thanks for your note. I need to check my RU-vid channel for comments more frequently and am sorry it's been a couple of weeks. I am on the GT 32 tomorrow and will check on this for you but was not previously aware that the litmus test for quality or value in a boat rested on the quantity of cup holders. Good to know and will relay this to the team at Beneteau.
@@markedwards202 Well, may not be the 'litmus test', but if more that three people are sitting at the table while underway there will end up being a spill, no doubt. Also, if guest don't use coasters, which they often don't, that beautiful teak table will end up with unsightly stains and rings. It's just good form for a vessel to have tidy, ship shape storage for everything, including drinks. As mentioned in my OP this is something that Sea Ray, Galeon and Regal all take care of quite well. Don't get me wrong, I love the Beneteau 32 and it's on my consideration list, but this IS a design miss.
@@richardjohnson8114 Good afternoon. Sorry to be slow respond. I've been a moving target most of this week. I neglected to check this when I was on the boat the last time. Your point is well taken. I wonder if it would be difficult to add to what is there now from the factory? We could take a look at that. The yard here is very resourceful and the boat yard (South Wharf Yacht Yard) and Cape Yachts are part of the same company.
HI JD, most of the boats our customers order have the shoal keel. They sail well and get you into places you may not reach with a deeper keel and have a wider national appeal when the time comes to sell
Hi Walt, I will be happy to send you the pricing information - send me an email at medwards@capeyachts.com and I will send you price and specifications as well
@@markedwards202 Always with the send me your personal information and I'll send you the price. Along with a bunch of marketing information, name on future BS, etc. etc. Why can't brokers just provide the most relevant information without being asked to do so. Ridiculous. Basically what he's saying is, let me figure out how much money I can get from you just short of you feeling violated. And Mark, every one who's shopping for a Beneteau knows what's on the inside other than "this" year they moved one item to another location. No need for you to continue to state the obvious. Other than those two things, great video man. Just great work you do. LOL
Hi Carlos, This boat sold but we have another one on order for $550,000 MSRP. Are you local to New England? You can reach out to me at medwards@capeyachts.com
Thank you Jeffrey, Let me know if this boat might be of interest to you. I can send the options list and standard equipment list by email if want those. My email address is medwards@capeyachts.com Thanks, Mark Edwards
Hi Tom, There is no water maker installed yet but that can easily be added. We own the boat yard and have techs who can do that work. Let me know if you want the options sheet on this. My email is medwards@capeyachts.com Thanks, Mark Edwards
