The rugged ridged pulled off clearcoat? With a magnet? Just completely defeats the purpose of having body armor for protection. Just outrageous. I really appreciate this review for some of us that don’t wanna make a mistake.
Yes we were shocked when we removed the rugged ridge and found a complete outline on each door. We we’re road tripping so no way of removing and cleaning. It was awful.
Great video and very informative. To me the 4' or 8' topper is a game changer since i'll be running a fridge. My only question is when you purchase the 8' top storage extension along with the Jeep JLU security enclosure do you also get the flat slipstream top also or do they substitute? Thanks in advance
I would contact Diabolical directly about that question. I am not sure if they substitute if you were to buy both. We use both extended and regular for different trips or daily driving.
Odyssey’s 3 year warranty is total BULL SH*T !! A year and a half and one of mine went bad. Odyssey says it was “OVER DISCHARGED “ ! Ok, well why won’t they replace it. Just another way to skip out on the replacement !

Glad to hear that something created years ago was helpful. We still run the same slipstream and glad we have it for each adventure or challenge presented when loading the back.
You can drill and bolt in permanent or buy the bracket that goes across the back of the hatch and it can be temporarily bolted in. That is what is covered on install video. That way you can remove when not in use
I went through several Optima Yellow Tops in recent years - they lose charge fast and have to replace them every 1 or 2 years. I am reading their manufacturing sucks after they moved to Mexico. I used to have great results with the original Yellow Top of the early 2000s. I’ll try Odessey Extreme.

Hi just wondering after 5 years. if you are still using this set up? And howd it goes? Any issues. Is it worth it? They are still selling this product with gen 2 model. But it seems most vids here in youtube does not recommend it. Just getting sa inputs before commiting on getting its. It seems like a very good idea but i need to know if it really works. Thank you for your question. Yes still using the same system. Main reason is because onboard air is required for the front lockers on the Jeep. Being able to run lockers, up down air and to help others when some extra air is needed works for our setup. This system is slower than other alternatives on the market and ours is a Gen 1 model. Sorry have not installed a Gen 2 so not sure how reliable the new versions are. Hope this answers some of your concerns
A new electrical outlet would need to be installed would be the only way I could think of since it is usb charged. The charge lasts a few months so don’t have to get on the ladder but jus a few times a year. The blinds have helped keep the temperature in the house so it’s worth it. 😀
Alternators only charge a car battery to about 80%. To properly maintain an AGM battery you must periodically give them a sympathetic FULL charge every one to two months. Then they will last many years. Otherwise they will step down and degrade.
Hey, I recently bought these, 3 separate curtains, 2 of them work fine, one of them, the motor just doesn’t shake at all after clicking and holding, any suggestions as to fix this? The red light turns on when I hold it, I tried charging it but it’s seems to be the motor itself, Help please
I would email support. We are customers we don’t work for Zshine. Since your other two work then you understand how to use them. If it’s not shaking but have a red light that means they have power. Have you tried plug it in and then hold the button? Just guessing, sorry don’t have any other ideas.
Thank you for kind words. The install is easy with the bracket system. The remote does take some time to figure out since there is so many adjustments that can be made. That is difficult to capture on camera.
You need to see if Mek magnet can do a custom star wars magnet. Have the death star and some tie fighters. Maybe a translucent Vader head looking over the battle.
Odyssey has better wide dual terminal posts spacing for my needs. Group 78 But I’ve been using Two Yellow top optima’s in my diesel pickup over 11 years now. They are still going.

Yes you can use other control boxes as long at they have the right fuses. sPod is the only control box we have used for this type of install. Thanks for watching.
