BESY Choir was established in the year 1981 by the Bible Society of India, Aizawl Auxiliary. The choir is managed by the Youth Committee of the Aizawl Auxiliary. The choir is from Aizawl, Mizoram - a small northeastern part of India.
The name BESY Choir simply means Bible Society Choir. The first two letters B&E are taken from the first and last letters of the word Bible and the last two letters S&Y are taken from the first and last letters from the word Society.
The choir is an interdenominational choir and currently the members are from 5 different denominations.

What a great idea to have both Mizo and English words running along the bottom of this video. This opens up your nice choir singing to all the English speaking world. I sincerely wish other Mizo and NE Indian choirs would do the same, to publicise your wonderful music to a world wide audience. The only draw back to this video and "Lungawina kim" is that, in the front, you have white sofas and one person in light clothing, making the words rather difficult to read in places. A great performance all the same. Comment is from New Zealand(Aotearoa).
