I remember playing this game as a kid never really knew what the hell it was besides some Japanese toy now replaying it on an emulator I want to download road trip and penny racer
Oi. I met your videos searching for unusual vehicular virtual games, ended up watching "Road Trip Adventure - Unlikely Review", your drawing style on the video cover made an impression on me that this video was made with love and care; and the other things you did holded my hand and not disappointed me.
My cousin had this game but was updating to the ps3 so gave me all his old games and road trip adventure was one of them and I played it so much that the disk stopped working and then Gave my ps2 away to a my friends little brother then finnaly bought a new ps2 now that I have money and bought this classic game
I'm trying to figure out which of the Choro Q games are CaRPGs? I'm looking at the list of Choro Q games for Saturn, Nintendo 64, GameCube, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and trying to figure this out. Does anyone have a list of all of the CaRPGs? Which ones are not CaRPGs?
Im just happy one of my fav childhood games is remembered and not a weird fever dream I had. I gotta go find a new copy since young me always put it face of on rough carpet
Dude, Mario Kart is a baby's game. It helps little kids who suck, win when they shouldn't. It should never be the gold standard for the racing genre. This game is better for being more nuanced and challenging than that. Git gud, and stop your complainin'.
I will disagree on your opinion these choro q carpg games are the best racing games I've ever played grand turis mo was Soo repetitive I had to grind more than gadget racers I know gadget racers can get repetitive but you have rolling bolder and coin catch
You're definitely right, I didn't mean they're just outright bad games, they definitely have fun points, personally I kind of enjoy a bit of the grinding in the Choro Q games I more meant the racing could sometimes feel a bit basic and stiff, really depends on the game, the customization options do bring a lot to the table and improve many aspects of the racing though and I enjoy that level of switching up strategy before going into a race.
@@UnlikelyYuusha yeah there definitely still some problems like road trip empty open world gadget racer the only thing I find frustrating is that world grand prix
I think the company that was publishing this game (in europe at least) has been dissolved, bare in mind it was years ago that I was researching this game but you are certainly more than welcome to try!
I know this is an old video, but... 7:45 This game has no speed boost for opponent cars except for minor acceleration boosts (some specific cars like Peugeot 206 (hatchback with spoiler), BMW X5 (SUV), 250 GTO (blue car with white racing stripe) or Black Shadow are good example for having higher acceleration boosts). Humvee overtaken you because racing-colored cars in Beginner's series (except for Country Road) are equipped 6-gear Automatic, which is not available to player at the beginning. Other opponents are equipped with 4-gear and 3-gear in Beginner's series. Though Opponents uses worst engine, racing-colored car got better top-speed and eventually reach to it. Edit: Side talk, some opponents on Country GP actually cheats because they uses 6-gear, while player only allowed to use 5 or below.
I think this game shaped who I am as person today. I played it almost every day from when I was 4 to when I was 8. I come back to it every few years <3
