Just received a Fuji loaner x100 - no filter, no filter attachment ring and no hood in the box. Hate taking a 'naked' lens out and about - so disapointed as I fear what might happen and the possible costs to me - NOT impressed Fuji.
Is there any way to export the recipe settings from the x100v camera into Lightroom (not cc) in order to use them over other pictures taken same day under the same lighting conditions with a different device. Thanks a lot.
Squarehood would be more justifiable if they were the one company who made this style of hood with a flipping bayonet. Why hasn’t anyone made a bayonet adapter and square hood. Screw on hoods suck.
Great video, Im a van lifer, and just ordered the starlink mini for roaming in Wales, am youtube live streaming so need the speeds, cant wait to try it out in North Wales
I love how sturdy and these clamps are. Question: I need the super clamp to grip the square pole of the "Neewer Table Top Rig System" (Awesome). I attached the clamp securely. But....What attachment would you recommend in order to put my 7 inch monitor hanging off that clamp. Some videos show the monitor hanging upside down. I want it coming off the clamp right side up with the screw that goes into the monitor pointing up? I just am not experienced at all in all of this. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you for a very nice video. I have very small space too. I am trying to do top down top down art videos. Thank you again for a very informative video!
It’s 2024 and I just bought this leans used for a very affordable price. Works great with my A7IV, the af is fast and quiet and tack sharp. The V2 is out which has a much closer focusing distance, but unless you’re into macro photography, this leans will do. Also the V2 zooms externally and this one is internally. Great lens.

I like the idea with double tape. I was doing hood like this by myself and was thinking how to make it not slipping backwards. I had an idea to connect the bottom of the box walls with the rope in front of the monitor. Was searching for monitor hoods to figure out how they fix this problem and fond this video. But I like this double tape thing more because rough box never scratch glossy sidewalls of my monitor as it doesn't touch it.
Ich suche noch eine Alternative zur original Sonnenblende von Fuji, die müsste aber auf das Bajonett des original "Weather Seal Kit" von Fuji passen. Gibt es da was Brauchbares?
X100 at least cameras piror to X100F, the rendering are soft and a bit "zoom-in" than a 35mm vision imo. But talking about the whole camera, the reangefinder style control and the OVF. The X100 series has no competiors.!!!!
Me personally I'm trying to start an indie TV show and I have an FX30, so I'm looking for a good used deal on an FX6 with Sony FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G lens.
So if you select embed LUT file it actually comes out as recorded in LOG or just as a standard profile with a LUT type filter applied? A lot of people have said it's just a standard movie profile with the LUT effect applied (so you don't really keep the additional dynamic range benefits of shooting in LOG). Thanks.
Any tips for what to look for if even after applying the camera simulations in lightroom the image still looks wildly different than the jpg? JPG looks soft and pleasant, and in lightroom, it all looks dark and dry. Thanks.
Great video, I've recently bought the x100vi and now thinking whether to sell my venerable X-T30 with a lineup of fuji lenses, the 18-55, 15-45, 35 f32 and 23 f2. From my own brief comparison, the colors pop a bit more on the x100vi, there is a tad more contrast and depth, maybe it's the sensor, don't know. It's also a bit newer with better controls, and I enjoy using it more. I also value the IBIS and the ND more than the ability to swap lenses, the IBIS especially, it enables me to capture low light without camera shake. The lack of ibis was a serious limitation on the x-t30. The overall package of the x100vi is smaller and the only thing I would be giving up is the sweet 35mm f2 that I fell in love with the X-T30, but this video helped me consider the TCL as a good alternative to the options I had on the X-T30. The other thing is that I never liked the 23f2 rendering, even though it's a more flexible prime than the 35 f2. The x100vi has much nicer character to me, and not so much soft haze wide open and close up. The 18-55 was really versatile, but It made the camera heavy and clunky for just walking around, it was also not as sharp (at least my second-hand copy). So I might just sell the x-t30 with all the lenses and get a TCL converter to get back the 35 for portraits when I need it.
Thanks for your Fuji content, Ben. I recently bought the WCL-X70 which gives a really nice wide view. Taped a small magnet inside the receiver side of the lens so the camera automatically recognizes the wide setting. Works great and the quality results (so far) are surprising. Best wishes from Oklahoma USA.
You're welcome! I've also picked up the WCL-X100ii since getting the X100VI in March, really handy little adapter to have when you can't take that extra step back 🤌
The Nisi filter was great on my X100V. Kept it when I sold the V and have used it on my X100Vi….. all good but today I needed to do some close up shots at minimum focus distance…. Got the dreaded Focus error message. Tried same shot without the Nisi without a problem. It seems that either the increased thread on the lens of the Vi or perhaps the lens extends slightly further at close focus distance? Either way at close focus distance I get the error with the Nisi and the all in one Hoage filter too. Both fine for normal use but at close distance seem to have issues. I am not testing further as can’t afford to risk damage to the camera. Anyone else had this issue?
Hello, is there any update on this? I know that there is a V2 of this filter. I'm wondering if the UK stock has maybe updated and this doesn't have the close focusing problem? I'm ordering this filter today.
Two hours ago I pick up my unit/ preorder of the Fuji X100VI at the Local CameraStore in Berlin. BEAUTIFUL!!! And I'll just buy the Nisi UHD filter as you convincingly recommended!
