Thanks for reply meri maa ka surname mech hai aur shocking baat yeh hai ki mujhe malum he nahi tha aur meri maa ko bhi aapne mech kachari history ke bare meh kuch bhi malum nahi hai.
@@aitubhujel2316Actually Boro Name was Given by Robert Montgomery in 1838 to Mech tribe . Later Brian Houghton Hodgson (1847) term Bodo for all kachari tribes(Mech, dimasa, tiwa, sonowal,koch, thengal, reang, rabha, tiprasa, etc) as this tribes origin were from (Tibet >Tibod >Ti-Bodo). And later all these tribes take individuals tribes name like dimasa, rabha, tiwa, etc but but but Mech people does not take individuals name as Mech and later identified themselves as boro. Today Boro/Bodo become single tribe i.e Mech but actually Bodo is a group of kachari tribes. so old name of Boro was Mech.

Traveling by flight from Dimapur Airport to Shillong Airport.It took 34 minuites exactly to land at the Shillong Airport.The distance by road from Shillong Airport to Shillong City ( Police Bazar) is approximately 31 kms; and not 15 kms as commented by me in the video.
