A few moveset thoughts: Whatever you think of Hanbei's moveset overall, his C3 is one of two moves in the entire game that can consistently hit downed opponents. The other one is Yoshihiro's oh-so-satisfying C1. Murasame Castle was a flawed mode with a ruleset basically restricting you to the Power Attack characters and a mission setup that favored high speed characters. Obviously this made Kiyomasa the best choice, but do you know who brings a chainsaw to this fight against the undead? Oichi. (Thumbnail idea if you ever cover Murasame?) Finally, Mitsuhide has a combo other than S?
Appreciate the comment 😊 and I see where you’re coming from based on my 4 tiers lists so far but - no, of course I like female characters? Just because I haven’t given a female an S tier ranking yet, doesn’t mean I won’t in the future Plus, if there’s been anyone that I would have originally ranked in the S tier, but decided to keep in the A tier, I’ll explain my reasoning for it. There are definitely female characters I’d consider to be S tier, such as Wang Yi, but I haven’t reached any titles with her in it as of yet. Ultimately, the characters I slot into the S tier are typically a mix of being my favorite/go to characters from my childhood, characters I consider to have the most enjoyable and balanced movesets, best designs, and best stories from the game. It’s got nothing to do with someone being male or female. I hope this has cleared things up
I like powerhouse characters like Kaeji and old man Shimazu in general but my favorite has to be masanori Fukushima. I’m a sucker for the stereotypical Japanese delinquent with a big pompadour and his moveset is just so fun with the big charged swings and stomping on enemies like a punk. I’m only just now realizing how much more time I have in dynasty warriors and even warriors orochi over samurai warriors at this point. I really need to give samurai warriors a better go at some point.
Another day, another reminder I need to get off my @$$ and play that copy of SW3 I got for the Wii lol. As I said in the rare weapons guide for him, my favorite SW character so far, thanks to the Orochi games since I still haven't played much of SW, is Ujiyasu Hojo, and it's just about everything about the character that I like, personality, design, moveset, everything about this character just screams "Cool" to me. His weapon being a cane with a hidden gun, (Or as I like to call it, "The Boomstick Cane") is probably one of my favorite "Out there" kinda weapons from these games, as it feels like just the right amount of "Not historically accurate" while still fitting with the time period. Motonari was also fun in the stage where I had to use him in SW Chronicles, (Another game I still need to play more of) probably should use him more in the Orochi games. Also R.I.P Takamaru lol. (Shame it doesn't look like they used his items from the actual game like the throwing blades that I don't remember the name of, or the invisibility cloth in his moveset. Let's just hope we can get a revamp for him in another Nintendo Musou game, he doesn't deserve to be stuck in SW3 on Wii with an "Okay" moveset)
This makes me want to play through SW properly, it has been a very long time since I played through one that didnt have "Empires" tied to the end of it.
I'm so partial to Gracia. Sometimes a character resonates on a personal level you can relate to. I don't expect anyone else to like her as much as I do, though, lmao.
Ujiyasu Hojo himself I would put at B or A his moveset is slow but it does fit with his nature that he is rather lax. Tho personally a lot of character is shown in Warriors Orochi 3 which may be my strongest biased here where he has a strong presence and is equal to Sun Jian. The Lion of Hojo and the Tiger of Jong Dong are just too great of a combo.
Whats the song at 4:00? Damn thats good. Also amazing video thanks for sharing~! I agree with you, I feel hopeful for Origins and I don't mind DW9 gameplay if it comes to something like that.
I might be biased, but as a whole, I love Sw1 characters in general. I think they are more nuanced in general, than the others, I love how Mitsuhide is so conflicted and the two possible endings for every character is so nice
Things I Love: - The map. Not needing to travel a lot to get to some places. But having a map like that. Pretty. - The number of enemies on the battlefield. Looks great. Things I like: -Returning of old or similar controls. -Cutscenes instead of having to talk to lots of people on the map. -Cool moves instead of flashy. Things I'm ok with: -Character change. (I prefer NOT being able to teleport 3 characters, or rock- paper- scissors mode, but since it's a choice, I can deal with it.) Things I don't like: - Enemies just staring as you said. - Enemies too easy to kill and instead of being op, being god-like. I still miss the Old DW versions... Extra stuff: You have a very nice voice to talk and share this info, and a very good peace. Well done :)
Speaking of Warriors, I've been seeing a lack of care when it came to the Gundam Musou games. Literally all of the titles are locked to PS3, with no plan to port or remaster any of them to modern consoles. As both a fan of the Musou genre and Gundam franchise, I feel as though Koei is missing an opportunity to let fans enjoy the 4 games again, even if all it takes are upscaled graphics and exclusive features to them. Hell, I'd even suggest to make them a collection if they don't want to sell them independently for a reasonable price. It's not really a hot take, but it's just a sentiment I've been having ever since I found out you could emulate these games. I really enjoy many of the Warriors games, so just seeing a passionate revival from the company would be nice for me and those who feel the same way as I do.
I recall maybe in dynasty warriors 4,5 or 6, if you kill diao chan first, before killing LuBu, he gets enraged, which mkes his appearance firey red, hit harder and harder to defeat. Aso not sure if that was only in xia pi
Excellent video! Hope you'll keep doing tier lists - Dynasty Warriors & Warriors Orochi as well, and not just character ranking but other elements such as ranking games in the franchise, etc. Personally, I'd put the entire C tier (except Oichi) in S/A tier alongside Ginchiyo, Kenshin and Kanetsugu, and swap out Toshiie, Tadakatsu and Nagamasa, as I'm not the biggest fan of their movesets (I need a bit of magic in there) :D
@@KoeiKollection I'm happy you check it, if you don't want to play it's okay just recommend it because i love your channel and i don't want the channel getting stagnant so I have idea maybe the channel can go check other warriors genre game that not dynasty warriors
I remember my brother wanted to rent Mk4 from blockbuster, but my mother said it was too violent, so he had to rent this instead. Started our love for the series.
Thanks for the video, now I know not to play Dw2 or 4 ever thanks to how balanced the difficulty is ( not ). I played 6 and I got sick how they keep blocking and rolling out of attacks/musou and then proceeded to mop the floor with you on higher difficulties.
