Thank you for sharing your journey with us. There isn't a lot of info on strabismus so thank you for providing us with more information. I had strabismus at 2 years old and had a squint corrected. Unfortunately, now at 59, my squint has broken down and I'm now facing another operation in around 6 months time. I have like you, been given a patch to wear on my glasses. I was told it's likely to take 4-6 weeks to get used to and also to wait until then to see if I am able to drive again. I'm in the UK so our driving rules are different to yours. I can say without a doubt that strabismus zaps the self confidence, but I can also see through you how you get it back. I too have migraines/headaches but after doing some research of my own it's found that sufferers of migraines tend to have low Magnesium, so I have started a magnesium supplement which is helping so far, but I have breakthrough headaches now and again as opposed to full on migraines. The only part of the operation I am worried about is the breathing tube as I have a very small mouth and throat but I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. I had a gastric sleeve in 2022 and it was the best decision i made from a size uk24 to a 12-14 uk. You won't regret sis and keep doing what's best for you ❤
