This isn’t a “lost” skit or rehearsal. This is 100% the ACTUAL skit. I watched it “live” when it first aired on April 8, 2000. This RU-vidr just added the intro to try and get more views or something by making it “mysterious” and interesting. Sad that they’re a liar but doesn’t take away from the hilarity of the skit. It’s made funnier by Walken clearly reading cue cards and his cardboard performance with the silly lines.
This sketch absolutely never aired and was cut after dress rehearsal. You can look at the SNL wiki for this episode to see. The intro was a title card prepared by SNL for the Best of Christopher Walken DVD that included this cut sketch as a bonus feature. So you're basically accusing SNL of lying about their own content.
They should have left the sketch in just so we could watch Walken's exit!! lol. GOLD!! ps yeah it did drag on a little, I see why it was cut. If they'd written it a little shorter it prolly would have made it in. REWRITE!!! :P
i don't know which sketches actually made the cut but I am pretty sure they were not as good as this. this is one of the best with Christopher Walken I have seen.
