I dont know if the finish line was the real issue, as opposed to the transponder location. To me, it just makes more sense to have multiple transponders at different points of the car (for example; 1 in the nose, 1 in the rear, either 1 per door, or 1 per wheelwell.) that way if cars end up wrecking over the line, the transponders are much more accurate to who finished first. Buescher was scored as the winner because his transponder crossed first, but Larson hit the line first. If there were transponders as close to the nose as possible, it wouldve helped some of that confusion originally, and Larson might have been scored as the winner originally

Let’s see. I was attending 4 events a year. Ooops they are going to Mexico so RVing and racing at Richmond is out. Heck if I’m not going to the spring race then why go to the summer race. Possibly on more fees to go to Martinsville why bother going to that after all 3 years in and the short track racing has still not improved. Guess I’ll just stay home save money and buy some Cowboy steaks. Put the race on record and start watching a hour later so i can fast forward through the advertisement. Looks like a win win.
