I remember that i started working on my dad's car, an e39, trying to make it look like yours, i was 17, really loved doing work related to cars. And i ended up at 19, to take a bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering in Romania. This week i graduated. Now i am going for a Master Degree in Automotive engineering in The Netherlands, and everythig began with your video :)

I have the same old Steering Wheel in my E39. How did you changed it to the M5 one. I had Problems with the slip ring because its on the steering wheel in old models. On the M5 its on the Steering column.
I changed to a wheel with the same airbag setup, making it plug and play. It's different from the single stage to the dual stage airbag systems. If my memory serves me right, the dividing line in production is march of '99.
Wow man some of this stuff ya coulda just spent a bit more on a higher model and wouldn’t have had to do so much work just to get it to where my 540 is. Well without the v8 still of course 😅

Thanks man! 8,5x18 fronts with ET13 + 20mm spacer and 225/40 tires 10x18 rears with ET19 + 15mm spacer and 255/35 tires I did have to roll the rear fenders a bit though.
I own an e39 2003 now because my e34 got written off big time big upset in my life , but when I Brought this car , I felt i was back in my e34 again ❤. Strange feeling man, i think sebine been reincarnated.
