Very cool place to host a car show. Surprised they let you use the facility for these types events. Awesome. Car shows in the states look pretty cool. I might be heading down to waterfest tho , will see. Great vid.
Just a heads up, the oil control valve for the cam shaft you replaced is supposed to be torqued down. orientation is entirely irrelevant. i wanna say it torques down to 45 newton meters but i cant remember exactly. i can check on my computer at work if you wanted to know.
also i just had this video recommended to me on my feed. but a bit of a tip, since you will most likely be replacing the cam, please do the timing chain and balance shaft chain as well as the oil pump chain with all the guides. and it is a known thing for the cams to be bad, i have replaced a total of 6 cams between 4 cars this past week. if budget allows, replace BOTH cams with the oil vontrol valve as well as the cam magnets. VW does have new part numbers that supercede the old ones. also replace the lower timing cover and if you remove the oil pan, it makes the whole clean up much easier as you dont have to worry about any debris in the oil pan.
this is why you buy wheels with the proper hub measurement (57.1). eleminates all the BS with hub centric rings. Experienced many times with customers complianing about vibrations. Love the car. Dub head, Nice. VDUB 4 life.

Doing some BFI Stage 1 engine and Transmission mounts on my R to quash some excessive engine movement on my car. (Already did a unitronic Street dog bone mount upgrade). Hoping it will last better than the stock ones did.

My Lapiz Blue MK7 just started making the dreaded cam knock. I have a warranty still, but the dealerships keep trying to claim the noise is a stuck lifter and a "hot oil flush" will fix it. It's getting to the point that I'm just about to do the damn job myself. I feel your pain in the trouble shoot and repair videos for your car.
My MK6 Jetta was doing the same thing you described, with random misfires, but no check engine light. Would also throw an EPC light after boosting. After investigation, the turbocharger shaft had 1.5 inches of up, down, and side to side play. Ran the car at idle with intake off and saw the carnage, lucky it didn’t snap off. I’d check your turbo aswell at 100k miles, and your wastegate adaptation voltage
I had it S1 tuned on the first day of ownership w 56k on the clock. Now low 80s and S2, plugs every 10, packs every 15, or it will definitely act up. I generate a misfire during high idle on cold start about once/3 or so weeks. Usually just needs to be cleared. Also maybe helpful, I've had billet aluminum hubcentrics since nearly day 1. Since then, tons of times over 100 mph, no vibration. That should be an easy fix, about $150. Good luck! May life grant you more episodes of burp/crack combos, metaphorically speaking. Literally, I guess, if it's that meaningful.
get a 2 piece floating brake rotors + isweep 3000 pads and bring the beauty to the track!! thats what i have on my R 7.5 UNITRONIC STAGE 2 and she handles like a dream...i would say try upgrading the ignition coils apr or motorsport high performance...i got an epc light that comes on every now and then might wanna check that waste gate linkage to see if it moves freely or might be an internal failure of the boost control module.. hopefully that will help narrow the problem Good luck keep your head up shes a keeper dont get rid of her!!!
