If you have a patient who is on blood thinners, eliquist, what would suggest to stop them how many days prior to surgery. I had mine on the 20th of May & started to bleed heavily from my rectum right after surgery. Some have told it should have been 6-7 days. I was told I needed only 2 days prior. Thanks
I'm thirty-seven and had my hysterectomy last Tuesday. Had no idea about this until I read medical notes from my Surgeon. Next month my cuff will be checked. Praying that this fixes my chronic anemia.

Had hysterectomy May 8 got cleared on July 5 for swimming an sex went home had sex an he tore My cuff open there was still stitches up there. Had to have emergency surgery july 7 the pain is un real. So now I’m back to 8 weeks of recovery so maybe ladies give yourself an extra 2 weeks maybe month.
Does the swelling go down of the abdomen after a cuff surgery? I feel i have more swelling then robotic lapo i received, after 2 weeks of the lapo robotic hysterectomy my stomach was super flat, now that i had an emergency cuff repair i see im bloated
Most doctors are correctly requiring 12 weeks of NOTHING in the V. I'm at 10 wpo (surgery May 15) and won't be doing anything for at least 2 more weeks, maybe more. The stitches don't dissolve until about 90 days, doctors often release women who have healing going on but still have the stitches in place. I'm so sorry this happened to you.
Iam 9 months post op total hysterectomy leaving ovaries and I was cleared by my dr after 6 weeks I had sex and my cuff is still intact even though my friend is very well endowed so every women’s body is different and my stitches were dissolved 6 weeks post op
@@lemir3559just take it slow ease back into it and use a lot of lubricant if needed I was the same way but I talked to my partner and explained to him what’s going on with my body and he took his time communicating is definitely the key
What kind of pain management is recommend for ppl who are unable to take pain Advil because of a bleeding / clotting disorder ((APS / Antiphospholipid Syndrome) and is on Coumadin. I had gastric bypass years ago and lost the part of my stomach that absorbs the other newer blood thinners?
