Great video. We just completed it in September this yer. Last two days had rain and clouds so no b=view of Mont Blanc but it was so spectacular. Looks like you hikers and ours are the same “vintage.”
A thousand thanks to my good friend Heinz for the wonderful video he produced for our group and all hiking enthusiasts. What a great way to keep special moments alive! May the youtube entice many people to enjoy the outdoors the way we did over many years.
Isn’t it amazing when you have “perfect weather” how beautifully everything grows. Thanks for sharing. You always do a wonderful job of capturing the beauty.
Danke, Herbert. Ja, es war sehr schön die US Familie zu versammeln und wir hatten viele lustige Momente. Definitiv eine Weihnacht's Feier die uns in Erinnerung bleiben wird. Liebe Grüsse.
Thanks, Patti. Except for a series of oak serving bowls and maple serving boards that Andy commissioned me to make for the restaurant Gwendolyn, all my pieces were one-of-a-kind items. I gave most of them away as gifts to family and friends and I sold about a dozen on Etsy.com
Great hiking videos reminding me great hikes I've done - Switzerland & Devil's Den. Never hiked in Angel Fire area, but have hiked to the east of it at Philmont and skied to the west of Angel Fire at Taos. On to the Grand Canyon this march to take some Boy Scouts on a Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim hike.
@@johnbailey3351 Oh AK, I loved those forested hills and valleys in your state. I hope to hike the TMB (Tour Mont Blanc) or parts of it in the fall of 2022
Heinz, as usual you're work reminds us of great times. In fact, you even make it more fun than it seemed at the time. I don't think you fully appreciate how valuable your video work has been to the whole group. Thank you, My Friend.
Thank you, chief Aubra. You started this group in 2014 and it grew to 11 people. I like the fun we are having together. And did I mention the jokes? This was our 15th outing. BTW - count me in as the BBQ chef again next time - not a problem.
Thanks for sharing Heinz - hope you all had a wonderful time - I still live in St. George and get to enjoy the great outdoors here. It was nice to see Bernhard and Elizabeth in your video. God bless you all.
Thanks, Mary. We were talking about you and Michael and wondering how you are. They haven't heard from you in a while. St. George was also on their list of areas to move to but Henderson was a better deal. They are both very happy with the choice they made.
Beautiful video as always. You use your artistic vision and insight of nature to bring out the real beauty in those things we all see. The difference is you see it and then accentuate the raw beauty.
@@heinzimhof I'm happy to hear that the area isn't over run with other backpackers. It's an extremely rugged area. I've noticed a lot of videos of backpackers that seem to go around it. I am hoping to make a return trip to the Vestal Valley next summer.
I doubt you ever saw me. But I was riding a two wheeled recumbent, pulling a small trailer. Yep, I was there. That heat and wind was a killer. And of course on Wednesday night had that big thunderstorm. I am planning on doing it again in 2022.
Kudos to you, James, and good luck for 2022. Too bad we never met, that would have been special. I'm 75 now and haven't biked much since my wingman died from cancer. I did the ride 4 times and saw many different bike setups and met some interesting people. It was a nice segment of my life.
