His eyes are wide. He sucks his thumb the entire time. That is a self comforting behavior because he is under extreme stress. He never takes his eyes off you. He doesn't know who the F you are, but he knows he doesn't belong there. He is frightened and nervous and anxious. He is light years away from being 'happy'.
This little thing is in a terrible spot with you. These babies need a lot of attention and specialized care to grow up strong and healthy. If that is your goal, take him to a rescue center now. You have no idea what you have taken on. Yes, they are cute and adorable now but soon he will grow stronger with behavior natural to living in the wild. You will not be able to control him. Love does not guarantee a passive, submissive pet. He will outgrow the baths, the diapers, the clothing, and your rules. It’s hard to control a wild animal. The sanctuaries /temples are filled with hundreds of monkeys that owners thought they could control. Be sensible and honest with yourself. Do what’s right.
Where did you get such a tiny, baby monkey? He obviously doesn’t know how to drink from a bottle which raises a concern. He had to have been with his mama who was nursing him. But now he’s with you. That’s crazy! How did that happen? Someone wrote that he should be sitting up to eat. That’s basic primate knowledge. Unless you are trying to hide the umbilical cord by covering it up. Be honest, where did you get him? The mama did not reject or abandoned him and you didn’t just find him in the woods. Tell the truth. Maybe you can help stop the pirating of baby primates? Be honest with yourself. You know you will not be able to take care of him when he becomes an adolescent. Then one day he’ll disappear from any new videos. What a sad future.
I really wish I had the know-how, the resources, and the time to raise a baby monkey and take care of it as it got older. It looks adorable, and the bond between the monkey and the person raising it would be wonderfully rewarding.
If it matters that much, get a child! There are plenty of abandoned humans you can adopt. These things are NOT little humans, nor are they supposed to be pets!
Where did you get such a tiny, young baby monkey? He doesn’t know how to drink from the bottle which raises a concern. He must have been with his momma who was nursing him but then, out of the blue, he has to learn how to drink from a bottle. That’s crazy. Where is the mama? Don’t lie and say he was abandoned. Don’t lie and say you just happened to find him all alone. Tell the truth. Maybe you can help change the world for the better by stopping the pirating of primates in the world today. You know when this baby becomes an adolescent you will not be able to care for him and he will just, hmmm, “disappear.” What a sad future for this little one. One piece of advice, learn how to take care of him because you obviously have no idea what you are doing.
Im sure you probably know this. But once he starts regurgitating his food and stll wants the bottle he just needs a pacifier to self sooth. Dont let him suck on himself anywhere. or let him have a empty bottle nipple. and hold him dont put him dwn until he falls asleep.
THis is how siblings and family treat infants in the wild/ They don get super jealous and attack the infants. Mom would never allow that to happen. Your older monkeya actually arae good to the younger ones because they are not neglected. They are acting like a family group in a troop. Congrats. I love this
