Decades ago (1980s or '90s) I bought a magazine that had several pages of Lotte Berk exercises for shaping the rear end ... a photo spread of about 4 pages of photos and explanations to walk you through the exercises. Whenever I wasn't feeling great about my body image I'd do them and within a week you could notice quite a difference. The exercises that were in that magazine start at 11:50 - 18:40 If you don't want to do the whole video at first just do the rear end & thighs section to begin with ... I think you'll be so happy with the results in a week or two you'll be motivated to do the rest

Love this video. Thank you so much for making it and sharing it. I started doing Lotte Berk 45 years ago and loved it then and love it still. This is very similar to the stuff we did all those years ago. Great class. Thanks and share some more classes please.
No se puede decir que es mejor que el original, porque establecen un canon . Creo que es una coregrafía inteligente y muy bien ejecutada. Muy bien. Saludos desde Cali,Colombia.
Amazing to see this, I have only seen still photos! The music is surprisingly awful, IMO, must have been Louis Horst accompanying the dance, but it sound like he's accompanying a silent movie, so literal and monotonous! The first time I watched this I didn't have the sound on - much better! Would be interesting to create a new score for it. Thank you so much for posting.
I think the music helps in understanding the dance. The heretic's pleading for mercy is rebuffed over and over -- monotonous, as you say-- until she finally gives up. At least that's how I understand it. Idk what Graham thought.
I bet the footfalls, which we can't hear, added a lot. Naturally it was filmed with no sound and in some way this sound was added later, perhaps from a written score and some guesswork!@@ChrisBECKETT-k4x
I just found this …. Lotte Burke is just something hard to explain. I haven’t done weight training Callanetics I haven’t done weight training Callanetics, Pilates, etc….. Lotte Burke is it own amazing beast and incorporates the best of all the others
Thank you very much Benjamin! I have this on VHS (lol) in region 2 version and I moved back to the States and can't watch it anymore. I used this video all the time and it's fantastic for toning and strengthening.

You know you spent wayyy too much time in your youth loving Madonna when you're expecting them to whip out and snap their fans at precisely 4:30. Alas, how sad I feel for all the children that will grow up without Madonna being a constant presence. Will they ever comprehend just how much how her fingerprints are all over so much of our culture? Absolutely gorgeous performances like this gives me some hope they will.
Now the waterfall is fenced off to the public and signs advise no jumping or diving. A Nepalese student, who couldn't swim apparently, jumped off and drowned so, as usual, one complete idiot ruined it for the rest.
Not the fault of the person who died; people will always miscalculate situations and be injured or die as a result. The problem is the 'nanny state' mentality; the attitude that people have to be protected from themselves; it's nonsense. That patronising attitude is what ruins it for everyone.
@@mateusseer5353 Late 60's I somersaulted into a pond near a beach and was impaled nearly right through my back. Nearly bled to death. Cut the artery(?) that feeds both the femoral arteries, grazed spine, nicked kidney and cut the lumbar muscle completely in half. 😐☹ Took 47 stitches internal and out to join everything. Pure luck that one of the crowd was a lifeguard and simply applied pressure until ambo and a DR arrived 20 mins later. It happens and the diving off point was used 100's of times and deemed safe.Something must have shifted from the bank? 🤔 "A few weeks later" no fences, no signs, no threats of being fined had been put up.Never complained or tried to sue the local council etc. Just wore it as a mistake, my fault. Now it's backfilled and a parking area.😆 Back in the day just common sense or good luck. Our (then) drummed in warning ... "Look before you leap" 😍😂☹
