For the love of cycling is why I make these videos and also for our grandchildren. We are happy to share the routes we take as most are found through scrolling the web and others sharing
You’re welcome Val, forever on the hunt for new exciting rides😃 our list is on A4 paper and both sides full. Getting ticked off one at a time 😉 happy cycling 🚴♀️
Very interesting, we have travelled those roads in the comfort of our 4wd drive and van, you put a different slant on it all by bike, well done, you deserve all those coffees you drank
Great video. I started thinking about 'training' it from Maryborough up to Glandstone then riding back home, but I was put off a bit by the seeming lack of a fully developed route, but it looks like you didn't have too much trouble 👍👍 Is your route on Strava? 🙂
We rode from Builyan to the opening at Hervey Bay, hence, passed through West Maryborough, I know the person who Strava mapped this, I will get her to provide the link
Oma this is fabulous, I feel this is a great advertisement for this adventure trail. The fact that you can jump on a train at Caboolture and go Gladstone. Using backroads and trails, you can loop back around to West Maryborough and take the train back home. We are so lucky to have a trail that loops back to a main line so that you go one way. Great work, thank you for sharing
Oh, I tell you, sis! "Scary exciting" pretty well took the words out of my mouth! Lovely little video of my brave little sister, riding solo through scenery which is both stunningly beautiful and fearsomely untamed! Loved the song, too...in fact, I think you are becoming quite a well-honed movie-maker, Sylv <3 Some of those pictures I found packed a great punch...the cracked soil..the yellow flowers...<3 And I really felt I was there with you, hearing your commentary. Great job again, Sylv! Thankfully, you're now back home, safe. <3
You know, all I kept thinking while watching this little video was how great it will be for you guys to look back on when the body is no longer able, no matter how willing the spirit! Such special memories of your cycling adventures, cranky cows and all! Love it, Sylv! <3 <3
Wow, this adventure was so different, Sylv! I imagine it was quite a culture shock at times...so sad to see the otter 😞 but, overall, it looked like a great time exploring places where a tourist bus would never be able to go! Well done, sis! <3
What I especially love about your videos is the sense that I am actually travelling with you guys! It's as if I am Jiminy Cricket sitting on your shoulder, experiencing everything you do [except the hard slog!] You really capture the diversity of the countryside so well, Sylv...and the moments of rest feel like I can actually get my breath back! Beautiful, beautiful...can say it as often as you like, sis, because so much of this country truly is! Well done...again, you guys just blow me away with your love of the open air and your two-wheeled steeds! <3 <3
Thanks Marj, my hope is that it inspires others especially the grandkids to be out there and enjoy this wonderful beautiful world, glad you came along for the ride on my shoulder
Oh, you guys never fail to impress with your courage and perseverance! I could hear the disappointment in your voice when you had to turn back (did you mean you had to go back 18km the way you came? Through that mind-boggling obstacle course??) but you captured the essence of your adventure at every turn, Sylv. Great story-telling! <3
And she does it again..! Oh wow, Sylv...it's amazing enough when the two of you tour around the backblocks of Queensland but when you travel solo I am simply blown away. Wonderful video, you are really finding some colourful and creative ways of videoing, especially as you are by yourself. Love it, sis! <3 (...and I could hear the understandable nervousness in your voice around the cattle, lol!) Beautiful captured adventure (and it was lovely to see Keith join you for a bit of it <3 )
Nice trip...had a look at some of your other videos too, especially liked yourbribie to tenterfield loop. Having camped and cycled through some ofvthat same country, bit different routes,it makes me wish for an e bike for the first time. I'm obviously actually scared of attempting some of the steep climbs which don't rate any particular trauma for you!
Wow, Sylv...I think you really captured the starkness and wild beauty of the Yorke peninsula! It's so different from your Queensland videos, naturally...but it makes you realise how difficult it must have been for the early settlers to make a living or even to live there at all! Well done...I can understand why you needed a bit of time/distance to make your video <3 it really did seem like a tough trip, especially in the heat! Hats off to you both...again! <3 <3
Oh wow, you went by yourself, Sylv? Well done :D I'm really loving your photo skills, sis...some of those photos, particularly in the early part of this video are gorgeous! Great visuals! Thanks for sharing <3 PS Hope Keith is OK? <3
Just found your channel and I enjoyed this. As I'm getting older I've been considering getting an Ebike for some touring, how far can you roughly go on a full charge?
Wow! Another road trip of amazing vistas and unforgettable paths "less traveled"...some beautiful photography there, Sylv and Keith, and I love how you've put it together into this video. Apart from the landscape, the animals, the captured snippets of history and the blue skies, there's also such a sense of companionable, confident camaraderie between you two...awesome to see! And it was wonderful to enjoy the ride from the comfort of my couch! :P <3 <3
ridewithgps.com/routes/42311436 Happy cycling 🚴♀️ 🚴♂️ Ps, if you are thinking of doing this ride it’s important to contact the Bindarrabi community to pass through their land. There is also a locked 5 bar gate to get over when you approach the property 😊
Wow, what a great group of like-minded bikers! Looks like such a lot of fun, sis! Particularly loved the musical talent and the delicious meals...no wonder the little wallaby wanted to join in :D Well done with the video...I can't believe how much the top of Bribie has changed since we rode to the "old" top of the island! <3
Wow! Another spectacular adventure, sis! There were a couple of things that really surprised me...firstly, the rivers were so blue! Our rivers always look so brown in Oz yet in your video they really do look like fresh water rivers. Also, you were sooo much on your own in very isolated places and paths! Oh, and that tunnel where you fell down...OMG, what if you'd done an ankle? Very brave, Sylv! Again, a wonderful record of a major achievement on so many different levels! Well done, sis! <3
Thanks Marj, the colours were so vivid, greens and blues, very special. Oh and when I fell in the tunnel my heart rate went through the roof. Glad you liked the video 😊👍
Wow, what stunning countryside you guys travel through, sis! There was a photo in the early part of the video of a gum tree with a mountain wearing a cloud hat which I particularly loved! Looks like the e-bikes are the way of the future for you and Keith...great forward thinking. :D Loved the bird song too...made me think of mum, she would have loved listening to it too. Thanks so much for making these, sis. Keep it up, OK? <3
As always, you guys are such a great example of how to have a great time in Nature while simultaneously exercising your bodies! Looks like you have a wonderful group of same-minded people, sis <3 Age does not need to be a barrier to having fun! <3
Oh Marj, I can always rely on you making the most wonderful positive comments. They are a great bunch of mates and we feel very lucky to have them in our life 🥰
What a great group ride! And it's fantastic how you make these little videos to recapture the day at the click of a keyboard, sis! Well done...again! <3
Another amazing adventure! I get breathless watching you two! Absolutely lovely to share the trip from the comfort of my couch, though...great job, sis and Keith. <3 <3
