Resident Giovanna main, video editor, graphic designer, and all around pretty dumb guy. Take everything I say with a grain of salt... Or maybe an ocean of salt...
This guide in particular and a little bit of stuff from some other guides allowed me to start on floor 4. First time playing the game and despite not knowing proper combos I really cooked until I got promoted to floor 2, that's when I learnt how the tower is supposed to work. Cooked everyone on floor 4 except this one brigdet smurf who clearly didn't belong on the lower floors. But they also got mixed real good even if I lost in the end. People didn't even want to rematch me, maybe they thought I was actually coming from a higher floor 😂, but I don't even know RC stuff yet. Your guide had me opening up ppl so much that they began opening themselves up.
I’m currently working on a guide for Linne in UNI2, but the video is taking a long time due to the amount of effort I put into the visuals of all my videos
your presentation deserves a way bigger audience than what you're getting rn. Like this is more production value than like most big fighting game channels.
Hi, I’m new to ggst and I have been looking for some Gio combos recently, just wondering, for example the comb in 3:23, I thought that was a 2H cancel to 214S instead of a 2H followed by enhanced 623S. Could be wrong tho since idk much about the game yet. Anyway, nice vid, really helpful and I’m enjoying the sharp editing.
holy shit man this was helpful. i spent way too much time looking for optimal combos, and feel like I learned so much about fundamentals for this game.
As someone who do not main Gio, I'm having great fun and understanding learning the character thanks to your vids. Great quality, edits and insight! ...is there any hope you complete the trinity and mount a simple vid on Gio's Okizemes? Keep on like this, FGC needs your quality!
I feel like some of these combos are harder or rather near impossible ever since the new patch dropped (edit) Okay so I did a little bit more labbing with some of the combos and come to the conclusion that some of the combos in fact are impossible due to the changes in Patch (1.33)
Absolutely amazing quality tutorial. I'm a fresh player, and I understood everything and feel like I have a great base for starting eith this character. Keep up the great work!!
@@Zapmannn it’s in standard number notation, and if you keep practicing, reading and doing combos like this will become as easy as breathing Just keep practicing, I believe in you
So, I’ve found quite a few optimal combos with Gio this patch. Though, the most optimal from midscreen that I’ve found does 256 on Ky, it builds enough meter for super and requires no resources to use. Though, it is _hurtbox_ dependent, as you need to time the late hit of en623S so you have the proper time to hit 5H again. This combo starts off of both a normal and CH c.S.
The intention of this video is not necessarily to be optimal, but to provide consistent combos that utilize the new options and teach players how to formulate combos
@@Syrkle I will. I’ve also been messing around with a Chave Feint, using Chave but no special afterwards, and I’ve been able to bait out reversals after HKD wall breaks. She’s safe afterwards as well from what I can tell, so it’s good for conditioning the opponent into blocking en236K.
On a CH 5K, you can go into c.S, after that the combos are similar to the c.S combos in the video. Without CH, I recommend going 5K 6P into either a 214H~236K (for characters without invuln reversals), or into 214K instant airdash j.H for a safejump
If you want some more non specific tips, my beginner guide is a great place to start for anyone looking to pick her up, as it explains all her basic mechanics and gameplan elements
NOTATION GUIDE: dl./delay = Delay the following move. c. = Close f. = Far j. = Jump mw = microwalk IAD = Instant airdash jc = Jump Cancel CH = Counter Hit [X] = Hold input AA = Anti-air WB = wallbreak
fixed the notation guide, microwalk is what mw means, sorry for the confusion, it's kinda my fault for using my own notation system for stuff like that@@tserp0294
great editing man! defenetively helping me with re-learning strive, I found the game so confusing after exclusively playing melty and how many universal gatlings there are on that game, but I think picking up Gio will help me get to know the game way better than anyone else
this guide is great, something im gonna keep as i continue to learn Gio. really well edited and great advice. picking up a second character has never been easier.
As a Gio main myself this was a great starter guide! I'd love to see a part two that includes even more advanced strategies, like dealing with FD, Sepultura RPS, BRC mixups, dealing with fuzzies, etc. Keep up the great work!
Great idea to give homework at the end of the video, I really liked how simple to follow and straight to the point it was, not I gtg lab out safejumps >:3
GGS players: I see, I wonder if I could replace the ending 214k with 632146HS for a positive bonus on WS and extra damage Me, a noob: Hahahaha, She kicks with a DOG. I'm totally gonna play this game
