Repairing clothes is different from making clothes even though the field of work is the same, namely sewing. And what needs to be understood is that both use different theories & techniques in their work, for example; Usually in making clothes, sequence theory & standards are used which when described with the numbers 1,2,3,4,5 and so on, but in repair/makeup the sequence of numbers & standard theory does not apply. In a makeover the order can change & sometimes jump for example 4,2,5,1 and so on. the most obvious example, when making clothes should start from choosing a fashion, measuring, making patterns and then sewing, but in makeovers / repairs when clothes are torn in the armpits, for example, is it necessary to use regular ones order 1,2,3,4? certainly not. So in a makeover the most important thing is the right method & technique so the results are close to original and satisfying.
