Gonzaga overrated every year they benefit playing in the worst conference every year beat up on mid and bad teams once the play a good team they look like a average team since 2000 there 34-52 vs APtop25 teams put them in a real conference they be a mediocre prgoram
Pro Ball like John was saying, up and down the court without any strategy. It more like ping pong basketball. I haven’t watched much pro basketball unless there’s some zagernauts involved. Like this year I think there was like 6 or 7 zags in the playoffs this year. Great interview Dan.
I am glad the players are finally getting compensated for their hard work. All this money will result in some growing pains. I hope it doesn't get ugly. Thanks for another great show.
Love Few’s style as a coach.bLucky to still have him really. The program reflects his realistic approach to the game. Infuse that with winning, the college experience, opportunity, loyalty and the Zags are in a good place in this turbulent current environment.
Man... What an insane thing that I get to listen to a HOF coach talk about so many things. Thanks a ton Dan. Can I request a guest? Guy Habermann. I know you call games with him and I think you guys should get together and talk on his or your pod. Would be cool for you guys to share broadcasting stories, best BB calls, and some Bill Walton memories. For the record, I've been throwing the idea to Habermann from time to time on his pod. You rock!
You know the Gonzaga story would make an Epic documentary . something like this is a once in a lifetime story of a little school that’s on this continuous Run! With a continuous Team. Proud to be a zag fan. Great interview!
We need 2-3 centers bigger athletic physical 7 foot or taller players & we don't have any 7 footers on the Zags team tallest players are about 6'10/6'11
If analytics is very instrumental in the success of the team and individual players. Why didn't the analytics encourage Drew Timme to perfect a consistent 10 to 15 foot jump shot. This may have been the difference of Timme being drafted than being a free agent. Why doesn't analytics encourage players to perfect a hook shot (one of the most difficult shots to block) and the 5 to 10 foot bank shot off the glass ( a bank shot when missed keeps the in the middle of the key area, which makes for an easier rebound). What do the analytics say about an under handed layup versus an over handed layup. I was taught when fouled attempting an over-handed layup is an automatic 2 shots instead of a one on one shot or a personal foul attempting and underhanded layup.
Being a Spokanite it's always a pleasure to hear from people in the CBB know and especially those who know GU, Spokane and Few. Thanks for your insights on and impressions of the Zags. Thanks for the humor as well! Oh yeah, and the SOF referral too. Making a driving/camping trip to Alaska in 2025. We'll definitely have trouting gear along :)
Yep 💯 facts that Zags miss Chet Holmgren because he would be dominant in NCAA right now & correct me if I'm wrong he would be junior or senior now that would definitely make Zags better team in the NCAA tournament
