From Foxes Afloat, enjoy Britain by Narrowboat. Cruise some of the most recognisable and beautiful stretches of the UK's 2,000 miles of canals and rivers. Each video features an uninterrupted journey, right from the front of the boat with no commentary or music, just the natural sounds of the boat and wildlife as you glide through the water.
These videos are perfect for relaxing, very ASMR style with soothing landscapes and natural sounds. If you'd prefer to hear more about each journey visit our main page at ru-vid.com.
I just watched a few of the 360° videos. I was really bummed out this one just paused when I clicked 😅 At any rate, it was still a pleasure taking the trip 😉
I am so glad I found you two. This video was so interesting! This video was like I was on the boat. I can’t wait to see the rest of your videos. Cheers from the USA.
That brings back memories of when I went on it with my car club. The cars basked in the sunshine whilst we took the tour boat through the boat lift and a short distance along the river. 😊
Awesome, will sit and enjoy this! We did the Cheshire Ring/Four Counties canal in 2019, and really wanted to do this boat lift….. but….. it was closed due to some mechanical issues it was having that month! Shame…
That's a physical representation of depression. A tunnel that seems to close in on all sides, with a pinpoint of ligjt that never seems to be getting any nearer - but it always does in the end.
Colin/Shaun, how is the tunnel controlled? i.e. is it wide enough for 2 boats to pass or is there a timeslot type system for each direction? or do you have a token like trains on a single bi-directional line? This is so relaxing to watch BTW 🙂
I just came across this channel. I watched the Harecastle Tunnel video and subscribed. I am subscribed to your Foxes Afloat. It’s a beautiful sunny day here in Mississippi and this channel works for me. Great for having my afternoon wine! Thank you 🙏
About halfway through I muted RU-vid and played "Brown Sugar" loud through my head phones. I could visualise going through the tunnel with 1000W speakers blaring. Would that be a criminal offence? 😁
Yes, these are recordings to my liking! These canal landscapes are enchantingly beautiful, amazing that industrialization of all things has led to something so idyllic. Unfortunately, I only discovered this RU-vid channel today, but from now on I will be going virtual narrowboat regularly!
This is a wonderful idea and I enjoy just putting this on in the background and letting it play while I'm working around the house. Sometimes, however, I wonder where you are and what we are seeing at a particular moment, especially at landmarks and other scenic locations. May I offer a suggestion? If you enter your own Closed Caption subtitles for the videos that you narrate, then enter the location and any features into the captions on these videos so a viewer can turn them on to see where you are and what they are seeing, or they can leave them turned off to just enjoy the view!
