Thank you for this video. One of the most confusing things about before and after is that before also means "in front, ahead", and after means "behind or at the back". That does is so confusing when reading!

Putting it like "by" helped a loooot, especially since bèi vaguely sounds like it. Knowing it's sort of an opposite of 把 sealed the deal! Best explanation of the grammar that I've seen anywhere. 感谢您！
I heard that we cannot use measure word with 把： 我把一杯咖啡喝了❎ 我把那杯/这杯咖啡喝了✅ Because we need to say smth that we mentioned before like 这杯，那杯 Can you explain this? My teacher explained it to me like this😢
Cant you just think of before then as after and vice-versa? Instead of saying : We will go to China before then we will go to USA We could say : We will go to China after going to USA The translation gets a bit lost but I hope it was clear
